26x28 Thunderbolt 4 / USB4 audio interface with 10 preamps, mixing and networking

Ten preamps with top-tier performance

The Motu 10pre is a 1U rackmount 26-in / 28-out audio interface with Thunderbolt 4 / USB4 connectivity (compatible with Thunderbolt 3, USB3 and USB2) for Mac, PC and iOS, with all 54 channels available simultaneously. Its ten XLR/TRS combo inputs feature preamps with up to +74 dB gain, −20 dB pad, 48 V phantom power, polarity reverse and Hi-Z guitar input, all remotely controllable, while channels 1-2 offer balanced inserts. The mic channels achieve −114 dB THD+N, 118 dB dynamic range and −129 dBu EIN, ESS Sabre32 converters deliver 125 dB on the outputs and MOTU drivers provide round-trip latency of about 1.8 ms (96 kHz, 32-sample buffer).

64-channel mixer, control room and Milan AVB

The 64-input DSP mixer with 32 buses, reverb, 4-band EQ, high-pass filter, gate and compressor provides independent monitor mixes for every output pair and both headphone outputs, and even works stand-alone without a computer. The virtual patchbay, Routing Grid, talkback, Monitor Group and 3.9" colour display are controlled from the CueMix Pro app on macOS, Windows and iOS, including wireless control over Wi-Fi. Two Gigabit AVB ports (Milan certified) for networks of up to 128 channels, two ADAT optical banks, word clock, loopback and DC-coupled outputs for modular synths complete the connectivity.

Superb analog performance

Renowned ESS Sabre32 DAC technology delivers 125 dB dynamic range and extremely low harmonic distortion, backed by decades of MOTU engineering in audio interfaces.

Low latency, everywhere

MOTU drivers for Mac and PC deliver round-trip latency of about 1.8 ms over Thunderbolt and USB (96 kHz, 32-sample buffer). The 10pre connects with the included 40 Gbps USB-C cable, and the second Thunderbolt port accepts additional peripherals.

Ten transparent mic channels

Capture your material in its truest form with −114 dB THD+N, 118 dB dynamic range and −129 dBu EIN. Each channel has individual gain, pad, 48 V phantom power and remote control from your computer or iOS device.

Hi-Z guitar and inserts

Each combo jack also accepts a Hi-Z guitar for DI tracking and re-amping, while channels 1-2 offer balanced send/return loops for compressors and other outboard gear.

64-channel mixing with effects

The 64-channel 32-bit floating point mixer is designed like a large-format console: it takes signal from physical inputs, computer channels or network streams, with reverb, EQ, gate and compression on every channel.

CueMix Pro and Milan AVB

The CueMix Pro app controls settings, routing and mixing from macOS, Windows and iOS, even wirelessly. With two Gigabit AVB ports you can daisy-chain more MOTU AVB devices for systems with hundreds of channels.
