The Super OM 5E major improvements: 1. By means of computer simulations it has been possible to define the natural pivot point of the system with unprecedented accuracy while achieving an optimum oscillation balance. The result: improved linearity, higher channel separation and reduced distortion. 2. Slit less than 1 mm dia. hollow pole pins significantly reduces eddy current losses caused by magnetic hysteresis. This technology extends the frequency range and improves phase linearity. 3. OM Super 5 cartridge body is manufactured from a Noryl (plastic & glass compound) which ensures high rigidity and freedom from resonances. Optimal fit and sound reproductionIf your tonearm has a standard headshell or a cartridge mount, then step up to optimal sound reproduction with OM’s. A glance at anyone of these cartridges will reveal Ortofon's answer to perfect tonearm matching. Ingeniously tucked into the top of the mounting bracket is a tiny, removable weight-plate. If your tonearm is an standard tonearm, just leave the weight-plate. If your tonearm is one of the low mass types, then simply remove the weight. The mass of your OM cartridge is now a mere 2.5g. Super OM 5E features Elliptical stylus that provides balanced and distortion-free playback. Elliptical diamonds are able to follow the groove oscillations more accurately than spherical diamonds due to their contoured shape. This results in better tracking and less distortion. Styli types and interchangeabilityThe OM 5s features a Spherical diamond. Spherical diamonds are the simplest and most robust diamonds. The OM 5E and Super OM 5E feature an Elliptical diamond. In the development of OM cartridges, a major objective was to provide the music lover with the opportunity to optimize sound reproduction without having to replace the entire cartridge. Instead of being merely intended for replacement purposes following wear or damage, the OM 5 Series allows you to step up to better sound by simply upgrading the stylus. Nagaoka is a world-renowned manufacturer of record needles, celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. The MP cartridge, which has been used around the world for many years, has been redesigned and the new MM cartridges JT-80/JT-1210 have been released. We will continue to support the analog record culture that will be loved by record lovers all over the world.Design Points1. Continuous design from tonearm to the stylus tip. The slanted front panel allows for easy viewing of the tip and easy stylus replacement.2. The small cylinder on the mounting surface makes it easy to put the stylus on and the light body plays sound as it slides on the board.3. The upper part is blocky to match with the tonearm, contrasting with the columnar shape of the stylus. The slim and simple design gives a sense of continuity from the tonearm to the stylus tip. Reducing the number of parts leads to a reduction in vibration. In addition, the bare screws that join the head shell on previous products have been integrated inside the body to reduce exposure and resonance. Besides traditional listeners, these evolutions are also oriented well towards modern pop and jazz, supported by a wide range of genres.Size:Width 18.1mm X Length 26.2mm (Terminal Pin included)X Height 18.5mm、Weight 6.7g Materials: ABS resin, Comparing with our long seller, MP (Moving Permalloy) type cartridge 8g weight Reducing weight by using cylindrical structure、as a MM (Moving Magnet) cartridge , succeeded in improving the sound quality. With a worldwide following, this product combines ease of use and design at a high level. Designed to enhance the visibility of the stylus and ease of operation when replacing The thin handle designed for dropping the stylus on the record gently and the simple construction of the body were highly praised. The functional design and the high perfection of each component will satisfy the users as well.In order to get closer as possible to the ideal frequenxy response, Nagaoka adjusted the hardnss of the damper rubber and core materials. You can feel the difference between the MP and MM. While the MP and MM have the same power generator, the structues of the cantilever are different. Also by selecting and adjusting the damper rubber and stylus tip, Nagaoka found the best balance.

Awesome sound in red states and blue statesBoth the Blue3 and Red3 use a four piece OTL cantilever that has a Grado specific diamond mounted on a brass bushing. The Red3 are hand selected from Blue3 production runs which meet higher test specifications. Approximately 10% of the run usually exhibits these specs and become a Red3.Grado’s OTL, or optimized transmission line, technology provides an ideal transfer of signal from the surface of the LP to the generator of the system. This technology rejects unwanted resonances and lowers distortion preserving the fundamental and harmonic frequencies of the music. This also helps keep noise generated by the motor system in the cartridge to a minimum.Grado’s OTL stylus/cantilever design makes records sound quieter, improves the height, width, and depth of the soundstage, and present more detail than previously obtainable. The Red3 & Blue3 are all hand assembled by our team in Brooklyn, with some builders having over 25 years of experience. With the recent development of the highly received Lineage Series of cartridges, we were able to have a trickle down of technology and bring a new technique to the Red3 & Blue3. This updated series of cartridges offers excellent tonal balance, dynamics, and realism, for a most rewarding reproduction of vocals and instruments. Our coil winding techniques, using ultra high purity copper wire which were honed during the development of the Lineage Series, have let the electrical circuits achieve unison between the four coils in each phono cartridge. This allows for a precise balance between channels and accurate stereo imaging. As in all Grado phono cartridges the Red3 & Blue3 are powered by a twin magnet system that optimizes the balance between stereo channels. All internal magnetic circuit parts are held to extremely high tolerances creating the desired stereo imaging. Grado’s patented Flux-Bridger design allows the Red3 & Blue3 to have one of the lowest effective moving mass generating systems while creating an excellent balance throughout the full frequency range. The development of the Epoch in the Lineage Series gave us an in-depth experience with using an outer housing as a damping device. This led to the creation of a process which de-stresses the chassis and dissipates unwanted energy & resonant frequencies, allowing the desired signal to travel freely.

The Goldring philosophy is to promote the accurate replication of the original record production, maintaining the creative nuances, musicality and rhythm the artist intended you to hear. With the versatile E Series, this is easy to achieve; each is designed to be simple to fit to the majority of budget to medium priced turntables. The E1 cartridge, the first in the range, utilises a carbon-fibre reinforced cantilever and bonded, spherical (0.6 mil) stylus with a round shank. Carbon is an effective alternative to more premium aluminium or boron materials, producing comparable results in most entry level hi-fi applications. Magnetic Duplex Technology™ All cartridges in the range feature Magnetic Duplex Technology™-a 'dual magnet' generator assembly with an identical geometry to that of the original cutting head. This means it can more accurately reproduce the stereo information in the record groove, providing better channel separation and a more involving and musical sound stage. Expert Adjustment The E-series cartridges have been designed to allow micro-adjustments to be made during production using a special adjustment screw. This means the cartridge can be safely installed in a typical turntable because the angle that the stylus makes with the record surface has been pre-set. The result is an optimised channel balance with zero degrees of horizontal tracking adjustment required. This ensures a consistent and reassuring performance for the life of the product. Stylus/Cantilever Featuring spherical styli with a choice of cantilevers, the E1 and E2 models are ideal as an upgrade to any budget, pre-fitted or obsolete cartridge. The E3 model with its refined super elliptical stylus is a worthwhile upgrade for those wishing to squeeze even more information and detail from the record groove.
This VM95 Series cartridge with 2.2 x 0.12 mil Microlinear stylus fits half-inch mount turntables. The cartridge offers excellent channel separation and low distortion for outstanding tonal quality. The durable, low-resonance housing includes threaded inserts that enable the cartridge to be mounted to the headshell with just two screws – no nuts required. And since all VM95 Series share the same body, the stylus can be replaced with any of the six interchangeable AT-VMN95 replacement styli.

Drawing on Dynavector's 'dispersion theory' that produced the original world first KARAT series Dynavector are indeed proud to announce the entirely new 17DX KARAT Diamond phono cartridge. As in the past KARAT series, the frequency response of the new KARAT 17DX at 20 to 20,000 Hz is ruler flat providing an extremely accurate groove tracking ability. However, several new features will ensure that the new 17DX will shortly gain the same legendary status and soon surpass its predecessors.Features and ImprovementsThe rationale for the new KARAT 17DX was to significantly improve upon the now legendary original KARAT series. After exhaustive listening and technical research, the decision was made to incorporate a body machined from solid brass, Samarium-cobalt magnets for lower magnetic resistance, unmatched coil winding techniques, the incredible 1.7mm long cantilever with Micro Ridge stylus all combining in a brand-new KARAT 17DX that will delight the listener, providing clear and articulate reproduction of analog recordings without a hint of harshness in the high frequency range.

Dual Moving Magnet Stereo Cartridge A high-end model featuring a MicroLine™ stylus in an aluminium die-cast alloy body. In addition to outstanding high-frequency reproduction, this model enables clear sound image localisation. Aluminium tapered cantilever Para-toroidal coils improve generating efficiency Centre shield plate between the left and right channels reduces crosstalk Die-cast aluminium alloy housing reduces vibration and adds a natural electrical shield Audio-Technica’s internationally-patented Dual Magnet design replicates the structure of the cutter head. Instead of using a single, large magnet, the two magnets are arranged in the shape of a "V". The two magnets are positioned precisely to match the positions of the left and right channels in the stereo groove walls. Consequently, the VM design ensures outstanding channel separation, extended frequency response and superb tracking. Para-toroidal generating system Para-toroidal coils improve generating efficiency and offer superb linearity since leakage of magnetic flux in this continuous and unitised magnetic circuit is low. Permeability of the cores is also optimised through the use of laminated cores. Centre shield plate reduces crosstalk A permalloy centre shield plate enables the effective separation of left and right channels, suppressing electrical crosstalk to below 40dB. This is similar to the actual crosstalk value found in the grooves of the record itself. The OM 5S is a moving magnet cartridge for general purpose applicationIf your tonearm has a standard headshell or a cartridge mount, then step up to optimal sound reproduction with OM’s. The mass of your OM cartridge is now a mere 2.5 g. Styli types and interchangeabilityBy adopting a wide range of replacement styli, the OM 5 Series can provide an optimum match for your home system, application and budget. Murasakino Ltd. is proud to announce the new MC cartridge, “Sumile.” “Sumile” means “violet” in Japanese, taken from the cartridge’s housing color. (It is “Das Veilchen” in German.) Sumile is not lavished with superfluous technologies or rare materials. Instead, through our commitment to fundamental quality, it is the ultimate analog product. As a low-impedance MC cartridge, Sumile’s impedance is only 1.2Ω. Producing a low-impedance cartridge is fairly simple because the impedance is kept low by reducing the number of turns in the coil. However, fewer coil turns also reduce output voltage, which has to be compensated for by larger amplification. In addition, noise problems are more likely to occur. But Sumile solves these problems by maintaining low impedance while ensuring sufficient output voltage. The cartridge’s base to which the power-generation system, including the coil, is attached is made of stainless steel. Stainless steel is renowned for its stable sound quality and has been incorporated into products such as tonearms (and some cartridges) by many manufacturers.Compared to aluminum, stainless steel is more rigid and harder to process, but the high-quality result makes the difficulty worthwhile.Sumile creates a sound that is just not possible for aluminum. But not stopping there, we bring Sumile to perfection by gold plating the processed stainless steel. Gold plating not only coats and protects the stainless steel but also improves the overall sound quality. Gold plating Sumile was inspired by how various platings on wind instruments transform and improve their sound.
Rega Nd3The Rega Nd3 phono cartridge is a moving magnet (MM) model with an elliptical diamond. It is the entry-level model in the Rega Nd series. The latter is characterized by the use of a N55 neodymium magnet, the most powerful on the market, usually reserved for moving coil (MC) cartridges. The Rega Nd3 hifi cartridge promises rich and detailed reproduction as well as a wide soundstage. The Rega Nd3 moving magnet cartridge provides detailed reproduction and a wide soundstage to rediscover your favourite vinyl records.3-point fixingThe Rega Nd3 phono cartridge replaces the Rega Elys 2 model. Like the latter, it is designed to preserve the integrity of the musical signal by eliminating losses due to vibrations and resonances. Its internal design and its three-point fixing system, specific to the British manufacturer, ensure a perfect connection with the tonearm. The cartridge-tonearm couple is now one, the mechanical vibrations outside the signal are evacuated from the cartridge to the tonearm and then from the tonearm to the turntable, producing a resonance path which moves away from the record and preserves all the reading acuity of the cartridge. The Rega Nd3 phono cartridge uses the 3-point fixing standard used by the British manufacturer in order to benefit from perfect stability and an optimal connection with the tonearm.Elliptical diamond, aluminum cantileverThe Rega Nd3 phono cartridge features an elliptical diamond. This is mounted on an aluminium cantilever. A lightweight and rigid material that ensures perfect tracking of the grooves in order to extract every detail. The pivoting pads of the Rega Nd3 cartridge improve sonic performance by eliminating the mechanical joint between the stylus and the main body. The result is better tracking of the grooves and more playback stability.Wide and detailed soundstageThe Rega Nd3 cartridge shines with its sound reproduction. The soundstage is wide and precise. Indeed, this phono cartridge benefits from an optimized space between the poles. Thus, the Rega Nd3 guarantees excellent linearity and superior crosstalk characteristics, which allows to obtain a very wide soundstage. Another new feature is the miniaturized parallel winding using a 38 micron wire with only 1275 turns which optimizes the inductance and impedance in order to maximize the response in the high frequencies.
Rega Nd5The Rega Nd5 phono cartridge is a moving magnet (MM) model with a bare elliptical diamond belonging to the Rega Nd series. The bare elliptical diamond benefits from a stylus cut from a single piece. Thus, its lower mass offers better precision in tracking the groove. The sound is richer and more detailed, transients are better respected. This diamond is mounted on an aluminum cantilever. A light and rigid material that ensures perfect tracking of the grooves in order to extract every detail.Wide and detailed soundstageThe Rega Nd5 cartridge shines with its musical reproduction. The soundstage is wide and precise. Indeed, this phono cartridge benefits from an optimized space between the poles.
