A Symphony of Speaker InnovationFocal leads the way in affordable nearfield monitors by combining breakthrough designs with technologies they first developed for high-end models such as their successful SM series. This Shape 65 is the 6.5" model in the Shape series, which brings top-quality Focal reference monitoring to your studio, editing suite, songwriting workstation, or any other application where your space may be limited but your need for accurate monitoring isn't. A cutting-edge flax-sandwich cone, M-shaped inverted-dome driver, innovative acoustics, and ideal electronics all add up to a speaker that's extremely linear and free from distortion, offering clear midrange intelligibility and imaging. And thanks to its dual-passive-radiator design, you can comfortably place your Shape 65s near walls, while enjoying extended low end that's still tight, controlled, and accurate.Raising the bar on glass speaker conesFocal first introduced their glass-fiber speaker cones in their SM series, where the extraordinary definition provided by their lightweight rigidity made them an instant hit among professional mix engineers. Focal's Shape series takes this speaker design one step further by introducing a layer of flax fiber, which is significantly more rigid and twice as light as glass fiber. They sandwiched this flax layer between layers of glass fiber, resulting in a piston-like low-frequency action and increased dampening. You'll be astonished by the low-frequency accuracy and midrange clarity these speakers offer. You couldn't ask for better compact nearfield monitors when it comes to critical mixing applications. Revolutionary M-shaped inverted-dome tweeter The Shape series introduces another major design upgrade to Focal's nearfield monitor technology by reimagining their already impressive aluminum-magnesium dome tweeter. For starters, the M shape itself provides increased rigidity, which offers many of the same advantages as the increased rigidity of their flax fiber cones: greater definition with lower distortion. The M-shaped dome works with its own dedicated TMD surround for an impressively linear response below 6kHz. This horn also comes outfitted with housing that provides equal horizontal and vertical directivity, and a less-directional profile overall. Finally, the magnetic component, which features a Kapton former in the voice coil, offers a lower high-frequency distortion than Focal has previously achieved in an affordable nearfield monitor. TMD surround ensures total midrange neutralityBeneath the elegant walnut veneer and meticulously calculated MDF enclosure, each Shape series studio monitor features a number of technologies that give them uniquely linear frequency responses. One of these is the TMD surround ringing either speaker. Strangely enough, this stabilization element comes from special architecture found at the top of skyscrapers such as Taipei 101. These suspended harmonic absorbers promote a more piston-like action that targets specific frequencies. In the Shape series, these surrounds produce a remarkably flat frequency response around 1kHz–2kHz, resulting in astonishing neutrality with virtually no measurable distortion. Double passive-radiators ensure low-end stabilityOne of the technologies Focal popularized in their previous generation upper-end monitors was the use of passive radiators. Just as they did in the SMseries, these passive radiators provide the Shape series reference monitors with an extended low-frequency response that goes far beyond what the seasoned studio engineers at Sweetwater expect from modest-sized nearfields.By balancing low-frequency harmonics with the dual surrounds highlighted above, these passive radiators accomplish what ports simply can't, providing you with low-frequency tuning that extends bass clarity and allows you to position your monitors closer to walls, without compromising accuracy. This detail makes them an ideal choice for small studios and editing suites. Next-generation amplification and electronicsIt's impossible to overstate how important a role the amplifier plays in the function of precision reference monitors such as Focal's Shape series, both in terms of pairing the appropriate electronics with the acoustic elements and in providing you with the flexibility needed to tailor the sound to your control room. Regardless of other settings, Shape series studio monitors provide a stable tonal balance at any volume, a key element in creating mixes that translate well outside the studio. At the same time, you can easily adjust your Shape studio monitors to your room, thanks to the tunable shelving filters and 160Hz crossover slope. There's also an adjustable highpass filter onboard, so you can cut out serious low-frequency problems or accommodate specific subwoofer setups.

The DSP can be controlled via its web-based application or a native App on your phone or tablet. Automatic updates are also available with new firmware provided to keep your speaker up-to-date with the latest standards and features. Overview.Completely accurate music reproduction requires more than a thoroughly optimized speaker. It requires a speaker that works together with the acoustics of the listening room. The 8c is more than just a loudspeaker. It is a unique acoustic concept because its revolutionary design provides constant directivity from 100 Hz upwards. As a result, the 8c is above and beyond any other system in terms of neutrality, precision, and in-room tonal balance.Accurate.The 8c represents our commitment to accuracy and clarity. With its constant directivity from 100Hz upwards and +/-0.5dB frequency response from 35Hz upwards, music can now be experienced exactly as it was intended. Nothing is added, nothing left out.Experience the sensation of truly accurate music reproduction, hear truth in audio like never before. Adaptive.Tune the system to the room, not the room to the system. 8c’s adapt to the room they are in and can be placed (very) close to room boundaries without losing performance. To achieve this, 8c’s combine a proprietary waveguide tweeter with an acoustic cardioid midrange, boundary-coupled bass drivers and active room matching. The result: superb acoustical reproduction in any room,.All-in-one.Besides drivers, the 8c’s small footprint presence holds high-end DACs, amps, subwoofers and a DSP. The system also comes with room matching and streaming capabilities out-of-the-box.All components match each other perfectly and together deliver a “big sound” at 106 dB continuously from 35 Hz upwards, while keeping the signal-to-noise ratio very high. 2-Way 7" Active Monitor The SC207 is our mid-range two-way monitor speaker. The SC207 will be attractive to a large range of listeners, as its size and form factor make them appropriate for a lot of different rooms. Are you a home recording musician or producer? Not a problem. The SC207 has great power efficiency that will let you clearly examine what's happening in your music. Are you a post production professional working in a tight or smaller room? Not a problem. The modest and elegant size of the SC207, along with its quality precision, will make it great in your setup without overwhelming your working area. Whatever you're doing, the SC207 will be there for you. Tech Talk With the SC207, you will get an extended bass frequency response (down to 44 Hz), courtesy of our 6.5" SilverCone honeycomb structured woofer and driven by our 1.5" voice coil. The result is a very tight and dynamic bass, along with the usual greater linear excursion. A PWM amplifier, with protection-limiting and capable of delivering a short-term output power of 100W, guarantees that the SC207 will never run out of juice. And with a maximum output level of 106 dB (SPL @ 1m), you can be sure that there is plenty of power to make critical and precise judgements over your mixes. The SC207 is also the first EVE model monitor that uses our proprietary AMT (Air Motion Transformer) RS2. That means it can deliver a higher output level that is due to a bigger magnet system inside. As with every other EVE Audio speaker, you get both balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA inputs for greater convenience. DSP With every EVE Audio speaker, you also get high resolution DSP electronics. One push knob operation and you will have access to accurate volume control and several different filter settings that will help you tailor your monitors to the way you work. And if you always avoid digital processing, we've got you covered. The DSP engine is supported with a high quality A/D converter from Burr-Brown, which delivers a pristine signal to the DSP section. And since the PWM amplifiers are directly connected to the DSP, no additional conversion is necessary. Please visit our DSP page to learn more about our DSP philosophy. Bass Port Design It's all in the geometry. One of the downside effects of port compression is bass distortion. As you turn up the volume, the efficiency of the port reduces and distortion will increase. We opted for a large rear rectangular port with no hard edges for our bass port designs. That's one of the reasons EVE monitors have a high efficiency on the lower frequencies. The results? High sound pressures with tight and punchy bass frequencies that don't cause port distortion. Crank up the volume, and EVE will deliver a round bass. And with no holes to look at every time you glance at your speakers. The price is referred to one unit. Price per unit.
Essentially, the Trio6 Be is a three-way speaker with a 1” tweeter, a 5” woofer, and an 8” subwoofer. Yet, switching to FOCUS mode reconfigures Trio6 Be in two-way monitor. The Trio6 Be was designed to meet the standards of the most demanding engineers. This dual monitor is the new reference in its price range owing to its extreme neutrality, its precise stereophonic imaging, and its ability to resolve the most minute sonic details, while its Class G amplifiers deliver SPL levels to suit all musical styles. When utilised to its full potential, the Beryllium tweeter reaches up to 40kHz and the 8” subwoofer extends low frequencies down to 35Hz. This offers engineers complete control of the audio signal. The 8” W composite sandwich cone subwoofer is complemented by its large port integrated into the front baffle, making it easy to position the monitor near the front wall without saturating the ports and maintaining excellent low-frequency linearity. Its large front port guaranties consistent performance regardless of SPL levels. It also allows a positioning closed to a wall without wall boost effect, allowing an easy integration even in small rooms. The 5” W composite sandwich cone woofer is installed in an isolated chamber within the cabinet that prevents the sympathetic activation of its other speakers while optimising its acoustic performance. Two front-facing ports provide bass reflex, enabling the woofer to perform identically in both two-way (90Hz – 2.5kHz) and three-way (250Hz – 2.5kHz) configurations. The 1” pure Beryllium inverted dome tweeter provides numerous advantages, including wide dispersion, amazing frequency response linearity, quick dynamics, and unrivaled impulse response. As a two-way speaker, Trio6 Be employs only the 5” woofer and the tweeter, limiting frequencies to between 90Hz and 20kHz. This configuration provides the perfect compromise when checking the quality of the mix for playback systems with limited frequency response, such as TVs, PCs, cars, and portable speaker systems. The frequency response curve of the two-way configuration is identical, though less extended, to its three-way curve, allowing for a perfect comparison that preserves the stereo image. Focusing on this critical middle frequency range facilitates a good mix and enables the engineer to ensure that the levels are just right. A footswitch (not included) activates this configuration remotely from the listening position.A ¼” input jack on the rear panel receives the trigger signal from a remote pedal, while a ¼” output sends a link to the input on a paired monitor.(Most singlebutton guitar amplifier footswitches are compatible)Rotating baffle Trio6 Be may be used vertically or horizontally to optimise positioning thanks to an adjustable aluminum baffle housing the woofer and tweeter. This rotating baffle is capable of rotating 360° in 90° increments, making it one of the most versatile speakers to position.Key pointsTwo monitors in one with remote switching: a quick and effective way to compare the mix translated to a compromised speaker systemWide uncompromised dynamics, linearity, and wide dispersion produced by Beryllium inverted dome tweeter: state-of-the-art speaker design and material Neutral, distortion-free sound thank to W composite sandwich cone Rotating baffle: facilitates both horizontal and vertical setupsSimplified room integration, thank to LF and HF shelving, 160Hz EQ High SPL accommodates all musical styles (115dB peak @ 1m)FOCUS mode (two-way or three-way configuration): Remote pedal (not supplied)Low and high frequencies & 160Hz notch adjusting: three control knobs

Kali Audio LP-8 2nd Wave Studio Monitor 8″ 100W RMS Black+GIFT 1 Piece EQ Acoustics Classic Wedge 60 Sound Absorbing Foam Panel !!Kali's famous LP-8 studio monitors have just received a major upgrade. With improvements in noise level, output level, frequency response and distortion, the 2nd Wave of Project Lone Pine are the best monitors you can buyTransparency. Clarity. Accuracy.Kali Audio's Lone Pine Series studio monitors are designed to let you hear every detail happening in your mix. This starts with an extremely accurate frequency response. Whatever's in your mix is what you'll hear on these monitors. Nothing is boosted or suppressed to cover up flaws or try to sound more pleasing. With the LP-6 and LP-8, you can mix with more confidence, and you can also be sure that your mix will translate as well as possible to whatever systems your audience is using. The 2nd Wave goes even further, using a more powerful DSP for an even flatter frequency response at the top end.3-D Imaging WaveguideHear 3D sound from a stereo pair of speakersDouble layer voice coilLarge diameter voice coil allows for low distortion and high dynamic range.Low Noise Port TubePrecisely designed using airflow simulations for powerful bass without port noise.LPs have always been praised for their accuracy, and we're happy to share that the 2nd Wave releases make small but noticeable improvements in this regard, particularly at the top end.Full resolution measurement data is available below.Kali Audio defines a listening distance as the maximum distance at which speakers can play continuously at 85 dB while maintaining 20 dB of dynamic headroom. This means that anywhere within this listening distance, you can listen for long periods of time at reference volume, and momentary peaks such as bass drops or boom effects will come through clearly and with minimal distortion. The LP-6 has enough output for most 1-2 person setups and the LP-8 can handle larger setups with ease. Full output specifications, along with maximum listening distances, can be found in our user manual. The bass in the LP series monitors is provided by larger magnets and larger voice coils than any comparable speakers on the market. This gives you more accurate bass response that extends lower so you can hear exactly the low end sound you need. The bass response isn't boosted or exaggerated, but you can be sure you're hearing the bass you've got in the track.Protective limiters prevent harmful voltage from ever reaching the drivers, so there's no risk of these speakers blowing up. These have been updated for the 2nd wave, allowing 3dB higher output. It uses 40W for the 1″ soft dome tweeter and 60W for the 8″ wooferBoundary EQ ControlA speaker's given position in a room can drastically change its frequency response. A speaker mounted on a wall or on a desk will sound very different from a speaker mounted on a stand, even in a well-maintained space. Hard surfaces such as walls, desk tops, and recording consoles can alter the monitor's low-frequency response and degrade overall sound clarity.Fortunately, most common positions are fairly predictable and easy to fix.The Kali team did our Boundary EQ tuning at The Village Studios in Los Angeles and came up with Boundary EQ settings to help you get the optimal sound for where you need to place your speakers. For the 2nd wave, the limit equalizers have been updated for using the speakers in a desk with monitor stands.Combined with the LF and HF liners, this will ensure that the speakers sound their best, no matter what room you're mixing in or where the speakers are located.Easy connectionsThe LP-6 and LP-8 feature balanced XLR and TRS inputs and an unbalanced RCA input. The RCA input can be set to -10 dBu sensitivity when using consumer devices such as the headphone jack of a laptop or smartphone.

The ATC passive SCM20P PRO Mk2 studio monitors present an affordable opportunity for home and project studios to experience the advantage of ATC’s superior performance. Used by world-class studios, engineers, artists, and post-production facilities, the SCM20P Pro Mk2 is a passive hybrid design incorporating a 6″ bass/mid driver with a 3″ soft dome for midrange assist. The woofer magnet assembly features ATC’s super linear magnet technology, which dramatically reduces third-order harmonic distortion by 10-15dB between 100HZ-3kHz. The result is a significant improvement in detail, clearly revealing ambient sounds and low-level effects, previously hidden. The SCM20P PRO Mk2 features a conventional cabinet for easy placement on any meter bridge (ATC recommends using stands behind the meter bridge for better performance).
As multi-channel systems increases in popularity, it is easy to forget that the basic stereo pair of speakers at the front of the listening area remains an essential element. Existing libraries of recorded music, the commitment of recording companies to stereo in its current form, and the new high resolution digital two-channel formats indicate that stereo will continue to be the main source of recorded music for the foreseeable future. For these reasons ATC still regards the main stereo speaker pair as the foundation on which a high performance multi-channel system can be built. The new innovative T16 two-way active monitor is an ideal way to establish that foundation. The SCM150ASL Pro is a further development of the SCM100ASL Pro, substituting a larger 375mm Super Linear bass driver, increasing the enclosure size to 150 litres. The result is extended bass, greater headroom and even more dynamic range.
As an all-new design, the SCM12 Pro proffers ATC’s acclaimed performance at a lower price point without compromising component quality and achieves this in a more compact, installation-friendly footprint ideally suited to nearfield monitoring as well as multichannel music and post-production applications.
Both models feature ATC’s renowned drive units, hand built in its UK facility. Of particular note is the new SH-25-76S 25mm/one-inch soft dome tweeter, the first to be designed and built by ATC, and the result of six years of research and development by Managing Director Billy Woodman and R&D Engineer Richard Newman. “The tweeter is designed and built with the same no-compromise philosophy as all other ATC drive units,” notes Newman, before continuing: “The design takes notes from the highly-regarded ATC midrange dome by utilising a dual-suspension design, negating the requirement for Ferro-fluid, and avoiding the detrimental effects of this drying out over time, a feature considered to be of utmost importance for longterm consistency.” The massive neodymium motor with heat-treated top plate is optimised to ensure an extended frequency response (-6dB @ 26kHz) and low non-linear distortion. The geometry of the waveguide is designed for optimum dispersion and made from a precision-machined alloy so that the entire structure is extremely rigid and free from resonances. The bass/mid driver used in both loudspeakers is ATC’s proprietary 150mm/six-inch Super Linear device. Constructed with a 75mm/three-inch voice coil and a short-coil, long-gap topology, it combines the high-power handling and low-power compression usually only found in large, high-efficiency systems with the fine resolution and balance of modern high-fidelity systems. Unique to the drive unit is ATC’s Super Linear technology, which, by employing specialist materials in the magnetic circuit, reduces third harmonic distortion in the lower midrange. The electronics in the active design have also had considerable development time invested in them, resulting in reduced noise and distortion (a further -10dB @ 10kHz) and a reduced operating temperature for improved reliability. The amplifier design is a revised version of ATC’s discrete MOSFET Class A/B design with 200W and 50W continuous power available for the bass and high frequency sections, respectively. The user controls have also been improved over the previous generation with more flexible input sensitivity controls and a revised low frequency shelf control to help achieve good balance in difficult acoustic conditions. The amplifier includes protection circuits for both DC offset and thermal overload. The cabinet has been restyled to more closely follow the larger monitors in ATC’s professional range and is constructed from heavily-braced MDF. Highly damped, elastometric panels are bonded and stapled to the cabinet’s inner walls to suppress cabinet panel resonances, while the enclosure’s front panel is heavily radiused to reduce cabinet diffraction, improving the frequency response and imaging. The loudspeaker can be wall mounted via a K&M 24120 Wall Mount (available separately). Note that the cabinet requires modification to accept the ‘top-hat’ mount.Ideally suited to critical nearfield listening applications in all control rooms, LCR surround monitoring in small-to-medium control rooms, and surround channels in medium-to-large control rooms, anyone looking to seriously improve their reference nearfield monitoring experience surely owe it to themselves and their studio setup to take a listen to the SCM20ASL Pro (V2) and/or the SCM20PSL Pro in action? EQ, balance, and edit faster, with more consistent results and reduced listening fatigue using the latest reference nearfields from ATC.
