AVB networking without IT expertise
The Motu AVB Switch is a 6-port Gigabit Ethernet switch compliant with the IEEE 802.1 Audio Video Bridging (AVB) standard, for quickly and easily building an audio (and video) network with MOTU AVB devices such as the 848, 16A, 1248, 8M, 24Ai and 24Ao. It supports automatic device discovery and bandwidth management, so you simply connect your devices with standard shielded CAT-5e or CAT-6 cables up to 100 m long and go. The six ports accept any AVB device, even other switches.
Guaranteed quality and network-wide sync
1-Gigabit operation makes the most of AVB, with very high channel counts and very low network latency. AVB guarantees that all audio and video streams are maintained regardless of other network traffic, while the network-wide clock provides sync accurate to the nanosecond. The network also supports standard Ethernet for a Wi-Fi router and internet access, so you can control your devices wirelessly from a computer, tablet or phone.
