Kanto TT-CRM
The TT-CRM is a turntable mat made from a blend of cork and rubber. Cork damps vibration while rubber adds mass and grip, so the record sits steadily on the platter.
A quieter surface
The blend of the two materials absorbs unwanted energy returning from the platter to the stylus. According to the manufacturer this translates into a quieter background and a more stable presentation.
No static, no slipping

The TT-AKIT gathers the three tools needed to set up a turntable properly: a stylus force gauge, a cartridge alignment protractor and a bubble level.
The right tracking force
The gauge measures the force with which the stylus sits in the groove. Too little means instability and distortion, too much means needless wear on the vinyl.
Alignment and levelling
The protractor shows whether the cartridge sits correctly over the groove, and the bubble level confirms the turntable is flat. Both are needed at first setup and whenever a cartridge is changed.

Anti-static acrylic mat for 12-inch platters
The TT-AM replaces a turntable's factory slipmat with a rigid acrylic mat. Acrylic has a stiffness close to that of vinyl, so the record rests on a surface that does not resonate along with it.
Less platter resonance
Kanto designed the mat to damp platter vibration and resonance. With less energy returning to the stylus, the manufacturer describes the result as a cleaner sound and a tighter low end.
A steady hold, less dust
The flat acrylic surface holds the record firmly in place and reduces static, and with it the dust that clings to vinyl. A recess at the centre clears the record label. It suits 12-inch platters and works at 33⅓ and 45 RPM.
Why a mat changes the sound
A turntable platter is never completely silent. Each time the stylus reads the groove, some of that energy passes into the record and the platter and comes back as vibration the cartridge reads again.
Why acrylic
Acrylic has a stiffness close to that of vinyl itself. When record and mat behave in a similar way, energy is not trapped between them but dissipated. That is the difference from the felt slipmat supplied with most turntables: felt is made to let the record slip for DJ scratching, not for listening.
Static and dust
The anti-static surface limits the charge a record builds up as it spins. Less static means less dust in the groove, so fewer clicks, and a record that does not cling to the mat when you lift it.
Fitting
It goes straight onto the platter in place of the existing slipmat, with no tools. The recess at the centre clears the label so the record sits flat across its whole surface. It suits 12-inch platters and both speeds, 33⅓ and 45 RPM.
