Hisense 120L5ND Laser TV

The Hisense 120L5ND is a complete Laser TV system that pairs a 4K Ultra Short Throw laser projector with a 120 inch ALR projection screen, supplied in the box together with a wall bracket. The projector sits on a cabinet below the screen and, with a 0.22:1 throw ratio and 2,700 ANSI lumens, fills the 120 inch surface with a 4K picture and HDR in Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG.

According to Hisense, the ALR (Ambient Light Rejecting) screen blocks around 85% of ambient light, so the picture keeps its contrast even in daylight. The system works like a TV: it has a built-in digital tuner, the VIDAA smart platform, 2 x 20 W sound with Dolby Atmos and two HDMI 2.1 inputs, for anyone who wants a 120 inch screen in the living room without a complex installation.

4K laser picture with Dolby Vision

The 120L5ND projector is based on Texas Instruments DLP technology with a laser light source, delivering 4K UHD resolution and 2,700 ANSI lumens of brightness. The picture is bright enough for living-room use during the day, especially with the ALR screen supplied in the box.

HDR for films and series

Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG are supported, while Filmmaker Mode presents films and series with the settings chosen by their creators. MEMC processing smooths fast motion in sport, and upscaling improves lower-resolution content.

Maintenance-free laser

The laser light source is rated for 25,000 hours. There is no lamp to replace, the picture appears as soon as the unit is switched on and brightness stays stable through years of daily use. With a DVB-T2/C/S2 digital tuner, CI+ 1.4 and HbbTV, the 120L5ND fully replaces a large TV. 10-bit colour ensures smooth gradients, while the Cinema, Sport and Game picture modes adapt the image to what you are watching.

Included 120" ALR screen

The 120L5ND comes as a complete set. Alongside the projector, the box includes a 120 inch ALR (Ambient Light Rejecting) projection screen and a wall bracket, so the picture has the right size and the right surface from day one.

Ambient light rejection

The screen surface is designed for Ultra Short Throw projectors: it reflects light coming from below towards the viewer and, according to Hisense, rejects around 85% of ambient light from windows and lamps. Blacks stay deep and colours stay clean even with the lights on.

Installation

The screen measures 269.7 x 153.4 cm, is just 2.8 cm deep, weighs 20 kg and is fixed to the wall with the included bracket. The projector, with a 0.22:1 throw ratio, sits on a cabinet directly below the screen, and the picture is aligned using digital geometry correction. Because the projector sits close to the wall, nobody walks through the light path, and the 120 inch picture needs no ceiling mount or separate cabling.

Dolby Atmos sound, VIDAA and connections

The projector body integrates a 2 x 20 W sound bar with Dolby Atmos support, Standard, Cinema, Music, Voice and Night modes, plus an equalizer to suit the room. For a bigger sound, the HDMI ARC port and optical output make it easy to connect a soundbar or amplifier.

Smart TV with VIDAA

The VIDAA platform gives access to Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+ and other apps, with voice control through VIDAA Voice and Alexa. AirPlay 2, DLNA and screen sharing from a phone are supported, and the RemoteNOW app turns a smartphone into a remote control.

Connections and gaming

It offers two HDMI 2.1 ports and one HDMI 2.0 with ARC, two USB ports, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth for audio, mouse and keyboard, and Ethernet. Game Mode keeps input lag at up to 60 ms, suitable for casual gaming on a 120 inch screen. USB recording (PVR) and Timeshift let you record or pause live TV.
