The DAC is the high-performance Wolfson with 24-bit/192kHz decoding. The amplifier uses our innovative Class D design that is highly efficient, runs cooler than older Class AB designs and provides plenty of voltage and current to easily drive lower impedance speakers down to 4 ohms. With 100 Watts per channel available, feel free to hook up large floor-standing loudspeakers to the RCX-1500. The RCX-1500 is also a very high quality CD player, based on our outstanding RCD-1520. A front panel USB input for direct digital connection of an iPod or other USB class 2 devices is provided, too. The receiver’s tuner section includes both terrestrial FM and Internet radio, plus access to premium music services* like Pandora, so your listening options are virtually limitless! There are presently over 15,000 Internet radio stations listed. And in order to help keep your favorite stations handy, the RCX-1500 includes 30 possible presets for instantaneous access to both FM and Internet broadcasts.The RCX-1500 supports both wired and WiFi Ethernet connections. The SL-G700 is a multi-digital player that covers most of the digital audio media available today, from traditional CD/SACD to the latest high-res and many streaming services, and plays them all back in the highest possible quality. Premium High-grade D/A Converter and Dual Mono Construction D/A Circuit For analogue audio output, the D/A circuit is one of the most important circuit blocks since it recreates the original analogue waveform from a digital source, such as a CD. For the D/A converters, Asahi Kasei Micro devices’ top-of-the-line DAC AK4497, with their high S/N ratio and low distortion, are isolated for the left and right channels. The power supply for the D/A converters is separated into five sections according to the application, and supplied individually. The power supply for the clock employs an original Battery Driven Circuit System to achieve high-accuracy D/A conversion. The Dual Mono Construction and asymmetrical layout eliminate mutual interference between left and right channels, taking the reproduction of sound imaging and sound space recorded in the source to a higher dimension. Discrete AMP Module For analogue audio output, the filter circuit located after the D/A conversion determines the quality of sound. The SL-G700’s filter circuit incorporates not an Opamp IC but an amp module of original discrete construction. The use of low-noise transistors and thin-film resistors suppresses the noise generated inside the circuits. Detailed fine tuning, such as the increase of operating current, has improved the response, S/N ratio and distortion rate. As result, the SL-G700 provides highly linear and faithful sound reproduction without omitting even the smallest nuances recorded in the source. High-speed Silent Hybrid Power Supply The quality of power supply is extremely important for high-fidelity sound reproduction. Power supply noise and supply stability directly affect the quality of sound reproduced from audio signals, particularly for analogue audio output. The SL-G700 is equipped with a dedicated power supply unit for analogue audio output. Its non-feedback switching power supply suppresses switching frequency fluctuation. Combined with the original stabilised power supply circuit, this dedicated power supply unit provides stable power with low noise. CD Player Improving upon the award-winning CD6006, the finely-tuned CD6007 CD Player offers even more specially-selected components and an enhanced circuit layout. Rigid feet further eliminate unwanted vibration while the oversized low noise power supply feeds the digital and analogue circuitry of the player. The new, high-quality AK4490 DAC along with 2 selectable filter options converts digital signals to analogue, this is then ‘pushed’ to the gold-plated synch outputs by Marantz’s proprietary small signal amplifier, the HDAM-SA2. In addition, we have included a new remote that also controls the fitting PM6007 amplifier. The CD6007 features a newly-developed, sophisticated headphone amplifier with a headphone amp gain setting to accommodate a wide range of headphones. Marantz HDAM Technology Marantz developed its own discrete circuit boards to replace standard ICs. These HDAMs consist of discrete surface mount components with short mirror image L/R signal paths. These devices do exactly the same thing as the widely used Op-Amps but outperform these designs dramatically in terms of the Slew Rate and reduced noise level, resulting in more dynamic, accurate and detailed sound. In the CD6007, the proprietary HDAM-SA2 circuit improves on its previous HDAM module for an even more stable power supply. The idling current stability is less influenced by power transistor temperatures to maintain sound performance even at high level output. Reference Quality D/A Conversion The CD6007 features a new Hi-Res D/A conversion. It is equipped with a reference class AK4490 D/A converter, offering two selectable filter options, and provides up to 192-kHz/24-bit and DSD 5.6MHz resolution for optimum musical fidelity with tight bass, pleasant mids and smooth extended highs for CD playback and Hi-Res formats from USB memory devices. High Current Power Supply The audio power supply employs high speed, high current Shottky Barrier Diodes and new higher value current storage capacitors compared to the previous model. The size of the power supply capacitors has been increased by 120% for improved current stability and reduced AC noise during high demanding listening sessions. Headphone Amplifier with HDAM-SA2 and Headphone Amp Gain Setting (Low/Mid/High) Compared to the CD6006, the CD6007 offers an improved and redesigned headphone amplifier section. The CD6007 inherits the exclusive Marantz HDAM-SA2 circuit with three gain settings (Low/Mid/High) for a perfect match with almost any brand of headphones for an optimal solo listening experience. However, if you prefer, the headphone amp is also equipped with an “Off Circuit” function that automatically turns off the headphone amplifier when a headphone is not connected to the unit to avoid any unwanted interference or noise.
