Home cinema and streaming in one

The Yamaha RX-500A is a 7.2-channel AV receiver for anyone who wants a complete home cinema and a complete music system in one. It offers Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, HDMI 2.1 with 8K and 4K/120 Hz, eARC, Dolby Vision and HDR10+, plus streaming over Wi-Fi and Ethernet with Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast and AirPlay 2.

For films, series, music and gaming

With seven amplifier channels and automatic room correction, the RX-500A is easy to set up and adapts to any living room.

7.2 surround with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X

With seven amplifier channels and two subwoofer outputs, the RX-500A creates vivid, three-dimensional sound that draws you into every moment. It decodes Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS:X, DTS-HD Master Audio and all DTS variants.

Flexible layout

You can set up a 7.2 system or 5.2.2 with Dolby Atmos speakers, depending on your room. Power is 75 W per channel (8 Ω, 20 Hz – 20 kHz, 0.09% THD, 2 channels driven) and 145 W (6 Ω, 1 kHz, 10% THD, 1 channel), with bi-amp capability for the front speakers.

Next-generation picture

The RX-500A is ready for the latest TVs, consoles and projectors.

HDMI 2.1 with 8K and 4K/120

Four HDMI 2.1 inputs and one output pass video up to 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz, with VRR, ALLM and QMS support for smooth, lag-free gaming. The eARC output carries high-resolution audio from the TV's apps back to the receiver.

Dolby Vision and HDR10+

HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and Hybrid Log-Gamma are supported, so the picture reaches the TV with all its brightness and colour, without compromise. With HDCP 2.3 and CEC, the receiver works smoothly with all modern sources.

Streaming, easy setup and Bluetooth

The RX-500A is also a complete home music system.

Streaming over Wi-Fi and Ethernet

Listen to music, podcasts and radio via Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast, AirPlay 2 and Internet Radio, and play FLAC, Apple Lossless, WAV and AIFF files from the network. Bluetooth 5.3 Multipoint connects two devices at once.

Automatic room correction

With the supplied microphone, Room Correction measures the room's acoustics and tunes the sound automatically. There are also two analogue RCA inputs, optical and coaxial digital inputs, USB, FM radio and a headphone output.
