Your entry to the AVENTAGE range

The Yamaha RX-A2A is a 7.2-channel AVENTAGE AV receiver that opens the door to Yamaha's AVENTAGE range, with an elegant design, an A.R.T. (Anti-Resonance Technology) Wedge at the centre of the chassis for less vibration, and cinema sound for any living room. With CINEMA DSP, 8K and 4K/120 Hz video support, eARC, Dolby Vision and HDR10+, plus streaming via MusicCast, Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth, it is the ideal base for a modern 7.2 or 5.2.2 system with Dolby Atmos.

Cinema sound with CINEMA DSP

The RX-A2A draws on decades of Yamaha experience in digital sound field processing.

17 CINEMA DSP programs

CINEMA DSP programs recreate the acoustics of real venues, from cinemas to concert halls, while Virtual Presence Speaker creates a sense of height without extra speakers. Dialogue Lift and Dialog Level Adjustment make dialogue clearer, while Virtual Surround Back Speaker adds virtual rear-back speakers.

High-slew-rate amplifier

Seven high-slew-rate amplifier channels deliver 100 W per channel (8 Ω, 20 Hz – 20 kHz, 0.06% THD, 2 channels driven) and 125 W (8 Ω, 1 kHz, 1 channel), for dynamic, clean sound with films and music. Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio are supported.

8K picture and gaming

The RX-A2A is ready for the latest TVs and consoles.

8K and 4K/120 HDMI

Seven HDMI inputs and one output pass video up to 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz (inputs 1–3), with upscaling up to 4K. VRR and ALLM are supported for smooth gaming, along with Dolby Vision and HDR10+.

eARC

The eARC output brings TV app audio to the receiver in high quality, with a single HDMI cable. HDMI CEC allows use from the TV remote.

MusicCast and streaming

The RX-A2A is also a complete home music system.

Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth

Over 2.4 / 5 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet, the MusicCast app gives access to streaming services and Internet Radio, and AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth (SBC / AAC) are supported. It plays FLAC, WAV and AIFF up to 192 kHz, ALAC up to 96 kHz and DSD up to 11.2 MHz.

MusicCast Surround

With MusicCast Surround you can use MusicCast wireless speakers as rear surround speakers, with no cables across the room. YPAO room correction with multi-point measurement tunes the sound automatically for your room.
