Fully automatic belt-drive turntable with aluminium platter, MM cartridge and phono stage
The Denon DP-300F is a fully automatic belt-drive turntable with a die-cast aluminium platter, an MM cartridge and a built-in phono preamplifier. It starts and stops at the touch of a button and connects directly to any amplifier or powered speakers.
Automation with hi-fi credentials
The DP-300F is for those returning to vinyl or discovering it now who want the consistency of a serious turntable without the complexity of manual operation. Drawing on more than a century of audio experience, Denon designed it to slot easily into modern stereo and home cinema systems, while offering careful construction and clean sound.
Fully automatic operation
At the touch of a button the tonearm moves over the record, lowers onto the lead-in groove and playback begins. At the end of the side it returns to its rest by itself and the platter stops, so there is no need to jump up at the right moment. The stylus is never left running in the run-out groove, which protects both the stylus and your records.
Freedom for manual control
If you want to hear a particular track, the lifter lets you lower the stylus gently wherever you choose, with no risk of scratching the record with an unsteady hand.
Sturdy base
The DP-300F's solid base provides calm footing for the mechanism, while the dust cover protects the platter and tonearm when the turntable is not in use. The whole has clean, classic lines that suit any system, whether in a living room or a dedicated listening space.
Tuned by ear
Like all Denon products, it has been sonically tuned by the company's sound master, aiming for a musical, balanced character that holds your interest through hours of listening.
A precision mechanism
The convenience of automatic operation rests on a mechanical base that puts stability and accuracy first. From the platter to the tonearm geometry, every element has been chosen so the stylus reads the groove calmly and the music keeps correct pitch and timing from the start to the end of the record.
Die-cast aluminium platter
The die-cast aluminium platter offers rigidity and inertia, keeping rotation steady and limiting unwanted resonance. Its high mass acts like a flywheel, smoothing out small fluctuations in motion.
Belt drive
The DC motor transmits motion through a belt, keeping its vibration away from the stylus. Wow and flutter is limited to 0.10% (WRMS) for stable pitch, even on sustained notes. Two speeds, 33 1/3 and 45 rpm, cover the LPs and singles that make up most collections.
Straight tonearm with adjustments
The straight tonearm has a 221.5 mm effective length and 19 mm overhang, keeping tracking error below 3° across the record. Stylus force adjusts from 0 to 4 g in 0.1 g steps, and anti-skating adjustment is provided for balanced reading of both channels.
Cartridge compatibility
It accepts cartridges weighing 5 to 10 g with a standard half-inch mount, leaving room for a future upgrade. When you want to take your sound further, the tonearm can host a higher-grade cartridge without changing the turntable.
Ready for any system
A turntable is only as useful as it is easy to connect. The DP-300F is designed to work with classic stereo amplifiers and with modern AV receivers that often no longer have a phono input, so vinyl can find its place in every home without extra boxes or complicated cabling.
Built-in phono preamplifier
The internal preamplifier raises the signal to a 150 mV line level, with a 20 Hz to 20 kHz response. The turntable can therefore connect to a simple AUX input on an amplifier or receiver, to active speakers or to a compact system, with no separate phono preamplifier required.
Bypass switch
If your amplifier has a dedicated phono input or you use an external preamplifier, the switch disables the internal stage. The cartridge then sends its signal, 2.5 mV at 1 kHz, directly to the external phono stage.
Aligned MM cartridge
The moving magnet cartridge comes mounted and aligned at the factory, with a recommended tracking force of 2 g. The stylus is easily replaced when worn, without changing the whole cartridge, using the genuine Denon spare part.
Ideal for home cinema
Thanks to its preamplifier, the DP-300F is easy to add to a multichannel system, so the same installation serves both films and vinyl. Connect it to a free analogue input on your receiver and your records play through the same speakers, with the same volume control.
