The Motu M2 is a 2-in / 2-out USB-C audio interface equipped with the same ESS Sabre32 Ultra DAC technology found in interfaces costing far more: 120 dB dynamic range on the main outputs and an ESS-driven headphone output. It offers two XLR/TRS combo inputs for mic, line or guitar, each with its own gain and 48 V phantom power and preamps measuring −129 dBu EIN. MOTU drivers deliver round-trip latency of just 2.5 ms (96 kHz, 32-sample buffer).
Colour LCD metering, loopback and MIDI
The M2 is the only interface in its class with a full-colour LCD that clearly shows input and output levels. One-touch hardware monitoring and a monitor mix knob let you track with zero latency, while loopback blends computer audio with your mics for livestreaming and podcasting. Two TRS outputs (mirrored on RCA), MIDI in/out, USB bus power, a metal chassis and MOTU Performer Lite and Ableton Live Lite software complete the package.
