Ideal after the phono stage
Its capacitance is matched to Rega tonearm cables, optimising performance when used between phono stage and amplifier. It is hand assembled at Rega’s factory and available in 1, 1.5 and 2 m lengths.
Low capacitance
A cable’s capacitance affects how the analogue signal is carried, especially at high frequencies. Rega specified it precisely for the Couple 3.
Just 80 pF
A capacitance of 80 pF leaves the signal unaffected, with no high-frequency losses. The result is an open, detailed treble.
Matched to the tonearm
Capacitance is matched to Rega tonearm cables. After the phono stage, the signal continues through a cable with the electrical characteristics Rega intends.
Full shielding
A 100% shield factor protects the signal from external interference, keeping the background quiet even in systems with many sources.
Precision construction
The Couple 3 began life as the internal wiring of the Aura, Rega’s flagship phono stage. The same quality philosophy carries over to the external cable.
OFC copper
The multi-strand conductor uses 28 strands of oxygen-free electrolytic copper, each 0.22 mm², for clean, stable signal transfer.
Neutrik plugs
Neutrik gold-plated RCA plugs feature an ergonomic design and mechanical strain relief that protects the cable from accidental damage.
By hand
Every cable is hand assembled at Rega’s factory in England and covered by the company’s Lifetime Limited Warranty.
For any system
Although ideal after a Rega phono stage, the Couple 3 is a general-purpose cable for any analogue RCA connection.
Phono stage to amplifier
This is the connection it was mainly designed for: from a Fono MM, Fono MC or Aura to your amplifier.
Line sources
It suits CD players, DACs, streamers and other line sources equally well, offering the same low capacitance and shielding.
Three lengths
It comes in 1, 1.5 and 2 m, so you can choose the shortest length that spans the distance between your components.
Each cable is hand assembled at Rega’s factory, with a multi-strand OFC copper conductor and gold-plated Neutrik RCA plugs with strain relief.
