Whether you are a musician taking the stage or a DJ filling the dance floor, the Mackie Thump12v4 is a 12″ powered loudspeaker that sets up in seconds and delivers sound that cuts through. A 1400 W Class-D amplifier, a 12″ woofer and a 1″ Lavoce Italiana compression driver reach a maximum level of 129 dB SPL and low-frequency response down to 47 Hz, so vocals, instruments and music playback have power and clarity without an external amplifier.

SoundCheck DSP shapes the sound at the touch of a button: four voicing modes (Flat, DJ, Live, Wedge), Feedback Eliminator, Music Ducking and Outdoor mode. The built-in mixer takes microphones, DJ controllers, keyboards and pedalboards, while Bluetooth allows streaming and wireless linking of two speakers, with control from the Thump Connect 2 app.

Four Voicing Modes at the Touch of a Button

SoundCheck DSP turns a sound check into the push of a button. The Mackie Thump12v4 adapts its sound to the job with four voicing modes, so you do not need to know anything about EQ or signal processing: press a button and play.

Flat and DJ: clean sound and punchy lows

Flat mode keeps the response neutral and transparent, so your sound comes out exactly as you shaped it, whether it is a guitar through a pedalboard or a mix from a console. DJ mode gives the low end the weight a dance floor asks for and suits music streaming at parties and events just as well, with your DJ gear and Bluetooth playing at the same time.

Live and Wedge: vocals and monitoring

Live mode lifts the midrange so vocals cut through in speeches, karaoke, concerts and events. Wedge mode optimises the response when you turn the speaker on its side and use it as a stage monitor, so you can hear yourself clearly on stage, even when you play loud.

The modes change with one press or from the Thump Connect 2 app, so you can go from Live to DJ between two sets, with no tools and no delay. That way a single speaker covers bands, DJs, speakers, teachers and small events, and always sits in the right setting for each use, even when different people pick it up.

Feedback Eliminator and Music Ducking

With Feedback Eliminator, ear-piercing microphone squeal is a thing of the past: one press and the speaker suppresses feedback automatically. Music Ducking quietly lowers the music, without stopping it, as soon as you speak into the microphone and brings it back when you finish, ideal for announcements during a DJ set or an event.

Outdoor mode, Bluetooth and app

Sound changes outdoors and the highs often get lost. Outdoor mode compensates automatically. Bluetooth streams from a phone or tablet and lets you link two Thump speakers in stereo, zone or dual mono without cables, while the Thump Connect 2 app gives you full remote control, including EQ. Bluetooth works at the same time as the analogue inputs and passes to the XLR mix output.

This lets presenters, DJs and bands focus on the performance rather than the settings. All the functions are built into the speaker and need no external processor, mixer or extra cabling, which makes the system simpler to carry, faster to set up and easier for anyone using it for the first time.

Connections and Setups

The Mackie Thump12v4 is built to fit anywhere and plug into whatever you carry, from a microphone to a DJ controller.

Built-in mixer

Two XLR/TRS combo inputs take microphones, keyboards, guitars and pedalboards, with a mic/line switch on channel 1 and a 3.5 mm input on channel 2 for a phone or media player. The XLR mix output, which also carries Bluetooth, sends the signal to a second speaker, while the front LED can be switched off when you do not want lights on stage.

Pole, flying, monitor and sub

Put it on a speaker pole, fly it from the three M10 points with the PA-A3 eyebolt kit (sold separately), turn it on its side as a monitor, or place it above a Thump15Sv4 or Thump18Sv4 subwoofer with the SPM400 pole (sold separately) for a complete system. The metal handles make it easy to carry.

The Mackie Thump12v4 also suits equipment rental and permanent installation: it works as a PA speaker, as a monitor or as part of a larger system with a subwoofer, and it can be placed on a stand or flown in a venue where it needs to stay firmly in place.
