Deep, Powerful Bass That Completes Any PA System
The Mackie Thump15Sv4 is a 15″ powered subwoofer that completes any PA system with deep, powerful bass. A 1400 W Class-D amplifier and a high-performance 15″ woofer deliver a maximum level of 132 dB SPL and low-frequency response down to 34 Hz, while the rugged yet lightweight construction with built-in handles makes it easy to transport.
Four selectable high-pass modes (Thump 12, Thump 15, Thump GO and Variable) match the crossover to the speaker you use, with a 1.4 ms alignment delay. Stereo XLR inputs, high-pass outputs and full-range outputs let you build anything from a simple system with one speaker to a dual-subwoofer array.
Mackie Thump15Sv4 features:
- 15″ powered subwoofer with 1400 W Class-D amplifier
- Maximum level 132 dB SPL, low-frequency response 34 Hz
- Four high-pass modes: Thump 12 (140 Hz), Thump 15 (110 Hz), Thump GO (150 Hz) and Variable
- 1.4 ms alignment delay in all modes
- Stereo XLR inputs, high-pass outputs and full-range outputs
- Phase invert, stereo or mono summing, variable level (muted to +6 dB), defeatable LED
- M20 thread for SPM400 speaker pole (sold separately)
A Complete PA System with Deep Bass
If your PA needs more power in the low end, the Mackie Thump15Sv4 is the answer. It pairs a 1400 W Class-D amplifier with a high-performance 15″ woofer and reaches a maximum level of 132 dB SPL and low-frequency response down to 34 Hz, for bass you feel in the floorboards that gets people on their feet.
Rugged, yet lightweight
The tough construction handles any gig, while the built-in handles make loading and carrying easy. An amplifier with consistent performance that does not break a sweat as the volume rises is exactly what a professional who works every week needs.
A complete system with one speaker on top
Stack a pole-mountable Thump loudspeaker above the subwoofer using the M20-threaded SPM400 speaker pole (sold separately) to build an all-in-one system that projects across the whole room and keeps the floor clear for dancing. Bands, DJs and events gain low-end weight and fullness without complicated cabling.
The Mackie Thump15Sv4 matches Thumpv4 loudspeakers as well as any other PA speaker, and is the natural next step when a single speaker is not enough in larger rooms or for dance music. A second subwoofer can be added later without changing anything else in the system.
Four High-Pass Modes for Every Speaker
Every speaker has a different low-frequency limit, and the Mackie Thump15Sv4 takes this into account with a high-pass mode selector that sets the crossover point to match the speaker it accompanies.
Four modes for Thump speakers and beyond
You connect your speakers to the high-pass outputs and choose one of four modes: Thump 12 for Thump12v4 (140 Hz crossover), Thump 15 for Thump15v4 (110 Hz), Thump GO for Thump GO loudspeakers (150 Hz), or Variable, where you set the crossover yourself to suit any PA speaker. All modes include a 1.4 ms alignment delay.
Matched properly, without guesswork
That way the system sounds coherent from the first minute, whether you set it up quickly or tune it carefully for a permanent installation. The phase invert switch helps you align the subwoofer with your speakers in the specific room.
Setting the crossover correctly makes the difference between bass that locks in with the speaker and bass that covers the midrange. With the ready-made modes you do not need to calculate anything: select your speaker and carry on, while Variable mode remains available for more careful tuning.
Inputs, Outputs and Control
The Mackie Thump15Sv4 is built to slot easily into any system, from a DJ controller to a live console.
Stereo inputs and outputs
The stereo XLR inputs take signal from a DJ controller, mixer or other source. The stereo XLR high-pass outputs feed your speakers, while the full-range XLR outputs pass the full, unaltered signal to the next subwoofer, making it easy to expand the system with a second sub.
Essential subwoofer features
The phase invert switch, the defeatable front LED, stereo or mono summing for one or two subwoofers, and the variable level control from muted to +6 dB give you the control any setup needs.
This makes the Mackie Thump15Sv4 as useful in portable DJ and band systems as in more permanent installations. The built-in level control and the option of mono summing let you tailor the bass to the room and the source, without an external processor.
