Technics SL-1200GME Master Edition Black
The Technics SL-1200GME turntable is a manual, direct-drive model. It is available in two finishes: silver for the SL-1200GME and black for the SL-1210GME. This limited and numbered edition crowns the legendary Technics SL-1200 series. This Master Edition builds upon the renowned foundations of the SL-1200G turntable, enhancing its performance through 10 years of innovation. The Technics SL-1200GME therefore incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as ΔΣ-Drive signal modulation, a triple-layer platter, an exclusive chassis, and insulating feet incorporating αGEL.
A limited and numbered collector's edition
The Technics SL-1200GME turntable represents the pinnacle of the brand's expertise, a specialist in direct-drive models. This Master Edition is limited to just 1200 units in its silver version and 1210 in its black finish. Each turntable features a patch that authenticates its uniqueness. A true showcase of its expertise, Technics has succeeded in combining all of its major innovations to present an exceptional audiophile turntable.
Triple layer tray
The Technics SL-1200GME / SL-1210GME turntable features a triple-layer platter. This platter is made of die-cast aluminum topped with a brass plate. This assembly combines rigidity and lightness to optimize platter rotation. All of this is supported by a layer of rubber positioned beneath the platter. This layer dampens resonances and vibrations from the motor, resulting in improved inertia and optimal rotational stability.
Magnesium tonearm
The Technics SL-1200GME turntable features an ultra-lightweight, cold-drawn magnesium tonearm. This material provides excellent damping for the tonearm. At 230 mm long, the S-shaped tonearm ensures optimal alignment with the vinyl record groove. It utilizes a gimbal suspension system, similar to those found on other Technics turntables, and ultra-precise bearings to guarantee unprecedented sensitivity to even the slightest groove variations.
