The Elipson Planet L Performance in matte black with gold accents are a pair of 2-way spherical speakers, the upgraded version of the iconic Planet L. With a new 165 mm coaxial driver and a high-grade crossover, they are made for listeners who want precise, dynamic sound from a speaker with a distinctive design.
New Performance coaxial driver
The 165 mm mid-woofer uses a cellulose-pulp cone with damping treatment and handles almost twice the power of previous Planet L models. At its centre, a 25 mm treated silk dome tweeter with neodymium magnet and horn delivers linear, clean treble with minimal distortion.
Crossover from the Planet L Gold Edition
The crossover matches the quality of the Planet L Gold Edition: MKP polypropylene and MKT polyester capacitors, low-resistance inductors and 2.25 mm² OFC internal wiring. The 2,900 Hz, 18 dB/octave filter gives a clean hand-over between drivers.
Tight bass, same mounts
The DAR® surround keeps the driver under control even at high volume, while the bass reflex tuned to 50 Hz extends down to 46 Hz. Planet L Performance keeps the dimensions of earlier models, so it fits the Planet L floor, wall and ceiling mounts.
