Denon AVC-A10H Premium Silver

The AVC-A10H is designed and built at Denon's Shirakawa factory in Japan, to the same audiophile standards as the brand's hi-fi amplifiers. Its sound has been tuned by Shinichi Yamauchi, Denon's Sound Master.

Selected components

Every component is chosen for musicality and very low noise. Nine 2-channel DACs maximise resolution across all channels, in the power amplifiers and the pre-outs alike.

Triple-layer chassis

The circuits are isolated inside a very rigid triple-layer chassis that limits vibration and interference and lowers noise noticeably. The result is clean, natural sound, for films and for music, with no background noise even in the quietest passages.

Current for every speaker

An oversized transformer and plenty of capacitors give a high current capability, so the amplifier delivers up to 150 W per channel instantly and drives many speakers with ease, even in large rooms. Gold-plated terminals keep a secure contact with the cables.

The A series

The A series sits at the top of Denon's home cinema amplifiers. The AVC-A10H continues that tradition with a Premium Silver finish and a weight of 23.6 kg that speaks for the seriousness of its build.

The AVC-A10H decodes every current surround format: Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D.

Layouts with height speakers

Thirteen amplified channels allow layouts such as 7.4.6 or 9.4.4, with ceiling speakers for the vertical dimension of sound. With the 15.4 pre-out and external power amplifiers, the system grows to 15.4 channels.

Four subwoofers

Four independent subwoofer outputs, each with its own settings, give stronger and more even bass across the whole room and more impact in action scenes.

Virtual surround

Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization and DTS Virtual:X create a sense of sound from above and around the viewer, even with fewer speakers or a stereo source.

Calibrated to your room

With the supplied microphone, Audyssey MultEQ XT32 measures the room's acoustics and sets the equalisation of each speaker, so effects sound right even at low volume. Dynamic Volume limits sudden volume jumps for a late-night film, and the amplifier can optionally be upgraded to Dirac Live Room Correction (separate licence).

For every source

DVD, UHD 4K Blu-ray, Netflix or TV: the amplifier decodes every audio stream and distributes it correctly to your speakers, putting you at the centre of the action.

For music too

The same care in the circuitry also brings great musicality, for stereo or multichannel listening.

HDMI 2.1 inputs and outputs pass 4K/120 Hz and 8K/60 Hz without restriction, and the upscaling circuit takes every HDMI source to 8K.

HDR

Support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG, the BT.2020 colour space and HDCP 2.3 for protected content, for colour, clarity and contrast from every source.

Gaming

With VRR, QFT and ALLM, lag and tearing are reduced, for a smooth picture and an instant response from next-generation consoles, while the sound follows every move in the game.

High-resolution streaming

With Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi it plays files from a NAS or computer (FLAC, ALAC and WAV up to 24-bit/192 kHz, DSD 2.8 and 5.6 MHz), internet radio and services such as Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Deezer and Apple Music.

HEOS, AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth

With HEOS and AirPlay 2 it joins a multiroom system, with the same or different music in each zone. Bluetooth works both ways and also sends sound to Bluetooth headphones.

Connections

7 HDMI inputs and 3 outputs, 2 optical and 2 coaxial inputs, RCA analogue inputs including MM phono for a turntable, front USB and a 15.4 pre-out.

Easy control

The amplifier is controlled from the remote and the HEOS app, and Denon's award-winning setup assistant guides you step by step through the first setup. A dedicated custom install mode and Control4 SDDP certification make life easier for installers.
