All your music from one device
Evo 150 SE brings everything a modern hi-fi system needs together in a single box. Cambridge Audio's StreamMagic Gen 4 platform gives instant access to Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Deezer and thousands of internet radio stations, while AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in and Roon Ready let you play music straight from your favourite app.
TV, turntable and computer
The HDMI ARC connection brings your TV sound to your speakers, with the amplifier switching on together with the TV. The built-in phono stage accepts moving magnet turntables without an external preamp, while the USB audio input plays high-resolution files from your computer up to 384 kHz and DSD256.
Wireless around the home
aptX HD Bluetooth sends high-quality audio from your phone, tablet or an Alva turntable. Paired with other Cambridge Audio streaming devices, your music follows you from room to room, all controlled from the StreamMagic app.
A system that keeps evolving
StreamMagic is developed in-house by Cambridge Audio and receives regular over-the-air software updates, so the amplifier gains new features over the years. It connects via dual-band Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable and plays all the main file formats: FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, DSD and many more.
Evo 150 SE becomes the heart of a complete home system, with no need for a separate streamer, DAC or phono preamp.
Hypex amplification, tuned in Britain
At the heart of Evo 150 SE is the latest Hypex NCOREx Class D amplification, tuned by Cambridge Audio's engineers to work in harmony with every other component inside. It delivers 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms, with warm, dynamic and controlled sound that drives bookshelf and floorstanding speakers with ease.
ESS Sabre DAC
Digital-to-analogue conversion is handled by the ESS Sabre ES9018K2M DAC, bringing clarity, detail and depth to every high-resolution file. A four-layer PCB reduces interference, so the signal reaches your speakers as cleanly as possible.
Upgraded components
Compared with the original Evo 150, the SE uses more high-quality components and a refined output stage. Analogue inputs include RCA and balanced XLR, and pre-amp and subwoofer outputs let you expand the system whenever you need to.
Two pairs of speakers and headphones
Speaker outputs A and B let you connect two pairs, for example in the living room and an adjoining space, and choose from the app which ones play. For private listening there is a 3.5 mm headphone output on the front panel, while standby consumption stays below 0.5 W.
A 20 Hz – 20 kHz frequency response and generous power reserves keep bass tight and treble clean, even at high volume, without listening fatigue.
A design that changes with you
At 317 mm wide, roughly the size of a vinyl sleeve, Evo 150 SE fits almost anywhere. Yet the award-winning Evo design means it deserves pride of place, on a sideboard or right next to your turntable.
Two looks in the box
Two sets of side panels are included: one in real walnut wood and one in black aluminium with heatsink fins. They attach magnetically and swap in seconds, so the unit can match your décor or your mood.
Easy to use
The colour display on the front shows album art and track information, while the large dual-concentric dial gives precise control of source and volume. You can also use the supplied remote control or the StreamMagic app on your phone.
Compact and solid
Measuring 31.7 × 8.9 × 35.2 cm and weighing 5.3 kg, Evo 150 SE takes up less space than a traditional integrated amplifier without compromising on build quality. The metal chassis, knurled volume dial and careful detailing give the feel of a product built to last for many years. The box also contains a remote control with batteries, a mains lead and a quick start guide.
It pairs perfectly with the Alva turntables and Evo CD, for a complete system with a unified look.
