The Lumene Showplace Silent UHD 4K/8K Platinum is a motorised projection screen recessed into a false ceiling, designed for home cinema installations using UHD 4K and 8K projectors. It combines a high-resolution surface, a precision side-tensioning system, silent motorisation and complete integration into the ceiling. It is available in several sizes in the 16:9 format.The flexible PVC surface features an optical treatment of micro-grooves with one-micron precision, preserving detail, texture and colour fidelity from high-resolution sources. It offers a gain of 1.3 and a 130° viewing angle, anti-yellowing, anti-dust and anti-wrinkle treatments, black borders and a black blackout backing. High-precision side tensioning prevents waves and curled edges for a flat, uniform surface.The aluminium-alloy housing fits inside the false ceiling so the screen disappears when not in use, and it also includes a hook for suspended mounting. The decorative ceiling cover, also in aluminium alloy, has a spring-loaded opening system and is easily removed for installation and maintenance.The 20 W DC motor with reinforced sound insulation runs at under 50 dB and is rated for more than 20,000 cycles. Its grey CLR (Ceiling Light Rejection) surface limits the impact of room lighting, especially from the ceiling, so the image stays readable when the room cannot be fully darkened. Its ALR (Ambient Light Rejection) surface rejects more than 85% of ambient light, including light from the ceiling and sides, for a bright, high-contrast picture even in a lit room.The surface has a gain of 0.6, a 140° viewing angle and 99% colour reproduction with no hot spot, plus anti-yellowing, anti-dust and anti-wrinkle treatments. Lateral cable tensioning keeps it flat, while a black light-blocking back and black borders make the image stand out.The slim black lacquered-steel case sits on the floor on four adjustable feet that tilt it forwards or backwards, or fixes to a wall or the back of a cabinet.
