Die-cast aluminium hangers

The earcups are held by durable die-cast aluminium hangers. Their swivel movement lets the headphones adapt flexibly to the shape of your head without sacrificing the solidity of the construction over years of use.

Memory foam ear pads

The ear pads combine memory foam with a soft synthetic leather covering. They mould to the contour of the ear, spread pressure evenly and create the seal needed for full, rich bass.

50 mm FreeEdge drivers

The way a diaphragm moves largely determines how natural music will sound. That is why Denon relies on drivers of its own design, made in Japan and developed with precision, speed and the lowest possible distortion across the entire spectrum in mind, so that nothing stands between you and the recording.

Large dynamic drivers

Each earcup houses a 50 mm dynamic driver. The large diaphragm area delivers deep, controlled bass while keeping clarity through the midrange, where voices and most instruments live, so the music sounds full without losing definition.

FreeEdge technology

The paper diaphragm is held by a FreeEdge suspension that allows its edge to move freely. Movement becomes more uniform, resonances are reduced and the sound gains detail and naturalness, from quiet passages to full orchestral peaks.

Hi-Res Audio certified

With a frequency response from 5 Hz to 40 kHz, the AH-D5200 is Hi-Res Audio certified. It comfortably reproduces the extra information in high-resolution files, from streaming services to your own collection.

Closed-back architecture

Easy to drive

Detachable cable

The 3 m cable connects to each earcup with a separate 3.5 mm plug and ends in a 3.5 mm plug at the source end. The detachable design protects the headphones from accidental tugs and makes replacement simple.

6.3 mm adapter

A 6.3 mm adapter is included in the box for connecting to amplifiers, consoles and devices with a full-size headphone socket. You can move from your portable player to your home system without changing cable.

Carrying case

The supplied case protects the headphones from dust and knocks when you are not using them or when you travel. The wooden earcups stay in excellent condition for many years.
