EF series sound and elegance
The Yamaha NS-555 is a 3-way, 4-driver bass-reflex floorstanding speaker from Yamaha's EF (Elliptical Form) series. It combines Waveguide horns, PMD woofers and Monster Cable internal wiring with Yamaha's traditional piano finish, for music and films with high sensitivity and wide dynamics.

EF series: designed for films and music
Yamaha's EF series was designed to bring out both the digital sound of films and music, with high sensitivity and a wide dynamic range.
Three ways, four drivers
Two 16 cm PMD (Polymer-injected Mica Diaphragm) woofers deliver full, fast bass, a 13 cm midrange with Waveguide horn brings voices and instruments forward, and a 2.5 cm aluminium dome tweeter, also with Waveguide, gives clean, detailed highs. Response extends from 35 Hz to 35 kHz.
Waveguide horns
The horns control sound dispersion so the stereo image stays stable and wide across a larger listening area.
Easy to drive
With 88 dB sensitivity and 6 Ω impedance, the NS-555 works comfortably with AV receivers and Hi-Fi amplifiers. It handles 100 W nominal and up to 250 W maximum.
Piano finish
The glossy black finish and elliptical cabinet recall Yamaha pianos, while Monster Cable internal wiring ensures clean signal transfer.
