The A-S2200 uses Yamaha's patented Floating Balanced Power Amplifier technology, in which the output stages float above ground and operate fully symmetrically.

Balanced from input to speakers

The entire signal path, from the XLR inputs to the speaker outputs, is fully balanced, for lower noise and better channel separation. From the balanced inputs the signal-to-noise ratio reaches 114 dB. Thick ground wires contribute to low impedance.

Clean sound without noise

Isolation from ground eliminates noise and voltage fluctuations, so music is reproduced with exceptional clarity, with a 110 dB signal-to-noise ratio from the line inputs.

Power with control

The amplifier delivers 90 W + 90 W into 8 Ω and 150 W + 150 W into 4 Ω (20 Hz – 20 kHz, 0.07% THD), with a damping factor of 250, for fast, controlled bass and easy driving of demanding speakers.

The built-in phono preamp accepts MM and MC cartridges, with 96 dB (MM) and 90 dB (MC) signal-to-noise ratio, so your vinyl collection is heard in full detail. The MAIN IN input lets you use it as a power amplifier.
