New DI Box Experience
Warm Audio DI boxes offer the rare versatility of having an onboard variable pad knob which attenuates your input signal all the way from -3dB to -30dB, which will easily tame any instrument input source.
Both of our Direct Boxes offer a Thru-put jack that is jumpered to the input jack. It is a convenience jack allowing you to send your instrument's signal to a second place in addition to the live mixer or recording device. Our Direct Boxes can also take a recorded signal at line level and send it to another line input while simultaneously sending signal out of the XLR mic level output of the Direct Box.
Typical Applications For A DI Box
Connecting electronic instruments such as guitar, bass, keyboard, or drum machines directly to a PA or recording system. Simply put, a DI box converts the high impedance, unbalanced output signals to low impedance, balanced output signals. By doing so, the instrument signals are now converted to the proper voltage level for the PA or recording system - which greatly reduces and/or eliminates connections which could cause tonal shifts and distortion.
Passive Or Active?
Direct Box Active is best for instruments with passive pickups, especially acoustic instruments. The Direct Box Active can also operate in "passive" mode. Direct Box Passive is best for balancing the signal of instruments with active electronics, but still performs extremely well on passive pickups by producing a frequency range that exceeds the bandwidth of most passive DI boxes on the market.

Radial Pro D2
The Radial ProD2 is a compact stereo direct box developed specifically to address the needs and challenges of interfacing a stereo keyboard to a professional audio system. This passive DI features two independent channels with separate inputs and thru-puts for the artist's stage amp and two fully isolated outputs for the PA system.At the heart of the design are two high performance Eclipse ET-DB2 transformers. These deliver 20Hz to 20kHz performance with less than 1.5dB deviation above 18kHz and are able to withstand tremendous signal levels without distortion. Unlike active circuits that overload when the signal exceeds the rail voltage, transformers saturate. The Radial Trim-Two is a passive direct box, designed for use with laptop computers and other consumer devices where the user has a requirement for a 'ready access' volume control for quick adjustments on stage.The design begins with a choice of inputs including dual ?" jacks, left and right RCAs and a stereo 3.5mm input. These are wired in parallel to allow the signal to be split off to feed an alternate signal path such as monitors. Inside, two great sounding Eclipse transformers do the work of isolating and balancing the signal. These 'passive engines' deliver a linear frequency response from 20Hz to 18kHz and are capable of handling up to +15dB signal levels thus providing typical -10dB consumer-level devices with plenty of headroom. Two-channel passive DI box with CineMag transformers
The Warm Audio WA-DI-P2 is a two-channel (stereo) transformer-balanced passive DI box that converts high-impedance instrument signals into balanced mic-level signals with no power required. It is ideal for stereo keys and synths, active instruments and connecting stereo sources to a mixer or interface, in the studio and on stage.
Preserve your tone
At the heart of the WA-DI-P2 are custom CineMag USA output transformers, one per channel. They preserve the analog character of your instrument and signal chain before it reaches the mixer or interface, and allow long cable runs without losing level, tone or high-frequency detail.
Full control on every channel
Each channel has a variable -3 to -30 dB pad to set the right level, a ground lift switch to eliminate ground-loop hum, a phase switch and an Instrument / Amp Out selector for connecting straight from an amp's speaker output (always with a cabinet connected to the Thru jack). As a passive DI it needs no phantom power or battery and is especially suited to high-output sources such as keyboards and active instruments.
Built for the road and the studio
Its rugged two-piece aluminium chassis is built for years of touring, and every unit is hand-tested in Austin, Texas.
