Cambridge Audio MSX Sub 200 Black

Not every room has space for a large subwoofer. MSX Sub 200 combines compact proportions with clean lines and a refined finish, so it sits discreetly in your space or disappears entirely when placed out of sight. At 21 × 22 × 23.2 cm it fits beside furniture, in corners or under a coffee table.

For films and series

With your TV it adds controlled low-end impact that makes films and series more lifelike: action scenes gain weight and drama, while dialogue stays clear and balanced.

For music

In music systems Sub 200 adds texture and rhythm to bass lines, so music sounds fuller, tighter and more involving. Like every Cambridge Audio subwoofer, it is tuned by ear so the bass serves the music rather than overpowering it.

Matt finish

The new premium matt finish in black or white matches the L/R active speakers and the other contemporary Cambridge Audio products.

Designed to work together

Partner MSX Sub 200 with MSX 10 or MSX 20 speakers for a balanced full-range system, or add it to an existing system that needs precise, controlled low-end support. Its small cabinet allows flexible placement without sacrificing performance.

A dedicated 200-watt amplifier provides consistent, controlled output, so bass stays composed at every listening level. Power without excess, exactly what a modern living room needs.

One driver, two passive radiators

A 6.5" active driver works alongside two passive radiators of the same size. Together they move more air efficiently and extend low-frequency response, without the distortion and port noise associated with traditional bass reflex ports.

Down to 36 Hz

The result is a frequency response from 36 Hz (−6 dB) to 200 Hz: impressive depth and weight from a cabinet weighing just 5 kg. It pairs perfectly with MSX 10 and MSX 20 satellites for a balanced full-range system, and integrates easily into existing systems with bookshelf speakers.

No port, no noise

Because the passive radiators replace a bass port, there is no audible chuffing even at high volume, and the subwoofer can be placed near a wall or inside furniture without colouring the sound. Bass stays clean, tight and musical, without boom.

Built-in digital signal processing (DSP) manages output and frequency response, so the sound stays stable and clear as volume rises. Bass remains controlled even in the most dynamic passages.

Settings for every room

The crossover adjusts from 50 to 200 Hz and phase from 0° to 180°, so the subwoofer blends smoothly with your speakers in almost any position in the room. Low frequencies then integrate with the rest of the system instead of sounding like a separate source.

Simple connection

It connects via a line-level RCA input, while the RCA pass-through output lets you add a second subwoofer. Auto-on switches Sub 200 on as soon as it receives a signal, so there is no need to turn it on by hand.

A discreet presence

The matt finish and neat feet keep Sub 200 discreet, while the controls sit on the back so the front stays clean. Once set up, you never need to touch it again: it switches on and off by itself together with the rest of your system.
