All models and all lengths are now available Toslink to Toslink and Toslink to 3.5mm Mini Optical. LOWER-DISPERSION HIGHER-PURITY FIBER CONDUCTORSThe problem with optical fiber transmission is that dispersed light does get through the Toslink cable, but only after it has taken a longer path, like a pool ball bouncing off the side-rails, causing it to arrive later. This delayed part of the signal prevents the computer charged with decoding the information from being decoded properly, or even at all. This reduced bandwidth is a measurable signature of light being dispersed by a fiber. The punch line: The less dispersion in the fiber, the less distortion in the final analog audio signal presented to our ears.
In 1982 Sony gave us "Perfect sound forever," along with the attitude that, "it's just digital, so all CD players sound the same." That was disproved and qualitative differences between players became accepted truth.Next came separate transport and DAC combos, which brought with it the attitude that "all S/PDIF digital audio cables sound the same..." until that too became disproved. Now the frontier has moved once again. Is digital audio really just ones and zeros? We don't believe so, and once you've had a chance to listen to Coffee USB, you won't think so either... Features :DIELECTRIC-BIAS SYSTEM WITH RADIO FREQUENCY TRAPAll insulation between two or more conductors is also a dielectric whose properties will affect the integrity of the signal. When the dielectric is unbiased, dielectric-involvement (absorption and non-linear release of energy) causes different amounts of time delay (phase shift) for different frequencies and energy levels, which is a real problem for very time-sensitive multi-octave audio. The inclusion of an RF Trap (developed for AudioQuest’s Niagara Series of power products), ensures that radio frequency noise will not be induced into the signal conductors from the DBS field elements. (DBS, US Pat #s 7,126,055 & 7,872,195 B1)SOLID 10% SILVER CONDUCTORSSolid conductors eliminate strand-interaction distortion and reduce jitter. Solid silver-plated conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications, like HDMI audio and video. These signals, being such a high frequency, travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. As the surface is made of high-purity silver, the performance is very close to that of a solid silver cable, but priced much closer to solid copper cable. This is an incredibly cost effective way of manufacturing very high-quality HDMI cables.HARD-CELL FOAM INSULATIONHard-Cell Foam (HCF) Insulation ensures critical signal-pair geometry. Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials all absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Hard-Cell Foam Insulation is similar to the Foamed-PE used in our more affordable Bridges & Falls cables, and is nitrogen-injected to create air pockets. Because nitrogen (like air) does not absorb energy and therefore does not release any energy from or into the conductor, distortion is reduced. In addition, the stiffness of the material allows the cable's conductors to maintain a stable relationship along the cable's full length, producing a stable impedance character and further minimizing distortion.CARBON-BASED 3-LAYER NOISE-DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS)It's easy to accomplish 100% shield coverage. Preventing captured Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) from modulating the equipment's ground reference requires AQ's Noise-Dissipation System (NDS). Traditional shield systems typically absorb and then drain noise/RF energy to component ground, modulating and distorting the critical "reference" ground plane, which in turn causes a distortion of the signal. NDS's alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetics "shield the shield," absorbing and reflecting most of this noise/RF energy before it reaches the layer attached to ground.

Analog-Audio Interconnect Cable named after the Tower Bridge in London that was completed in 1894. In all Bridges & Falls, you'll find better metals and more sophisticated technologies including Air-Tube insulation, Dielectric-Bias System, and Noise-Dissipation System at lower prices than ever before. Note: All cables in our Bridges & Falls Series place their left and right channels in a single jacket, and feature our Asymmetrical Double-Balanced geometry with separate high-quality positive and negative conductors. This design allows for a thin, flexible, and uniquely versatile high-performance cable that can be terminated with a variety of today¡¯s connections, including 3.5mm (male or female), DIN, and RCA.Do keep in mind, however, that, by necessity, the plugs on Bridges & Falls cables are fairly close together. If the L and R inputs of your components are more than 3¡å (7.6cm) apart, please consider models from our Rivers or Elements Series. Features :ASYMMETRICAL DOUBLE-BALANCED GEOMETRYPurpose designed for single-ended applications, Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry offers a relatively lower impedance on the ground for a richer, and more dynamic experience. SOLID LONG-GRAIN COPPER (LGC) CONDUCTORS Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) allows a smoother and clearer sound than cables using regular OFHC (Oxygen-Free High-Conductivity) copper. Solid conductors prevent strand interaction, a major source of distortion. The surface quality is critical because a conductor can be considered as a rail-guide for both the electric fields within a conductor, and for the magnetic fields outside the conductor. LGC has fewer oxides within the conducting material, less impurities, less grain boundaries, and definitively better performance. RJ/E Cinnamon prepared Cat 7 Ethernet cables use solid 1.25% Silver conductors, which completely eliminate strand interaction, one of the biggest sources of distortion in cables, for clearer, more dynamic and involving sound. Superior conductor metals minimize distortion by having fewer grain boundaries and less impurities (such as oxides) at those boundaries. Solid High-Density Polyethylene (PE) insulation helps maintain critical signal-pair geometry. Of course all AudioQuest Ethernet cables honor the directionality inherent in all analog and digital audio cables; arrows on the jackets indicate the direction (from source to destination) for the best audio performance.Over the past several years there's been a revolution in the way people store, distribute, and access digital media (in real time), including photos, movies, and, of course, music. No longer dependent on physical media, our media is often data that's moved from multiple devices to multiple locations. For audio applications and protocols, audio over Ethernet offers the virtues of high-speed, low time delay (latency), significant distance capability (328 feet without an active booster or repeater), and extremely low-jitter, bit-perfect communication. USB (Universal Serial Bus) Audio: For many applications, the speed of digital communication is important. Most visibly, “speed” is about transferring large files as quickly as possible, or carrying enough data for an HD video. For USB audio (and for HDMI audio), “speed” is critical not because of how-much how-fast, but because time relationships within a digital stream are critical to the reconstruction of the analog wave form that brings information, music and joy to our ears.Time-based damage (jitter) to this information within the data package makes the sound small and flat instead of 3D, harsh and foggy instead of smooth and clear.

Unapologetically VintageThe Warm Audio Centavo is an accurate recreation of one of the most unattainable overdrive pedals in guitar history. Known by its lauded boost and overdriven tones, the craze for this uber-popular pedal continues today, long after its original production from 1994 to 2009. With prices soaring into unthinkable prices for a three-knob overdrive, it’s no wonder that guitar players like Jeff Beck, Joe Perry, John Mayer, and Josh Homme have found all the mythical magic of the original pedals to be worth the hype. The Warm Audio Centavo is a true-to-original overdrive pedal that authentically recreates the legendary experience and adored tones of the original, legendary box.Legacy At Your FeetWhether you’re after the fabled boost tones, edge-of-breakup overdrive, or you want to push your rhythm channel to true grit - the Centavo has all of the adored tones of the original pedal. The Centavo is comfortable acting as a boost pedal, but the saturation in the higher gain settings provide a platform for true “transparent” overdriven rhythm tones. The addition of the “MOD” switch on the back - famously requested by Jeff Beck on the original pedal- allows players to extend the bass response, impacting the lower strings to get added low end drive tones.Pedal Settings & ControlsThe Centavo has three basic controls on the top - Gain, Treble, & Output. The gain on Centavo breaks up fairly late, with edge-of-breakup hitting after 50% and real clipping occurring late in the gain stage. The treble control is useful for dialing in more top-end for muddier guitars, like dual-humbucker models or all-mahogany instruments. The Centavo is loaded with output and can easily deliver clean boost, or create natural distortion if the tubes on your amplifier are already being pushed. Engaging the MOD switch on the back is a great tool to have at your disposal if the overdrive initially sounds “thin” in the lower register.
