Description
Specifications

A top-tier motorised tab-tensioned projection screen with an ultra-smooth surface for UHD 4K and 8K. Built for high-end home cinema installations with full home-automation integration.

The Lumene Coliseum UHD 4K/8K Platinum is arguably one of the most complete motorised tab-tensioned projection screens in its class, designed for prestige installations. Its textureless PVC surface is extremely smooth, so no grain shows in the image and UHD 4K and 8K resolution is fully preserved.

With a gain of 1.3 and a 130° viewing angle, it delivers a bright image with accurate colour and a wide viewing field, with no hot spot. Black borders markedly improve perceived contrast, while fine lateral tension adjustment keeps the surface perfectly flat.

The black lacquered aluminium case fixes with fast, secure clips to a wall or ceiling, or can be suspended from a hook. The system leaves wide freedom in where the brackets go, a real advantage in hard-to-reach spots or rooms with high ceilings.

A Lumene tubular motor provides reliable, quiet operation. Included are an IR remote with fine position adjustment, a remote IR sensor for recessed installation, a 10 m 12V trigger cable and an RS232 port for automation. Available in a range of sizes, in 16:9 and 2.35:1.

Ultra-smooth for 4K and 8K

The textureless PVC surface is so smooth that its grain never shows in the picture, even from a close seating distance. UHD 4K and 8K resolution comes through without degradation and with accurate colour. A gain of 1.3 adds extra brightness, while the 130° viewing angle comfortably covers every seat in the room. Black borders frame the image precisely and strengthen perceived contrast.

Lateral tension, flat picture

On a motorised screen that rolls up and down, flatness is everything. The Coliseum UHD 4K/8K Platinum uses lateral tensioning with fine adjustment, keeping the surface perfectly flat so no distortion spoils the image. The Lumene tubular motor lowers and raises the screen reliably and quietly, and the remote control lets you fine-tune the final stop position so the image lines up exactly with your projector.

Ready for home automation

The screen is controlled by IR remote, via its built-in receiver or the included remote IR sensor, so the case can be recessed into the ceiling. The trigger input, with a 10 m 12V cable, syncs the screen with the projector, and the RS232 port allows integration into a home-automation system. Manual Up, Stop and Down buttons are also provided. Clip mounting makes wall, ceiling or suspended installation straightforward.
