It eliminates parasitic vibrations for greater clarity, focus and an open, three-dimensional soundstage. It is made from machined stainless steel, with a low profile that barely raises the component.
Greater sound clarity
The upper flange of the OREA acts like a suction cup and adheres to the underside of the component, while the lower flange grips the supporting surface. All the energy is managed within the core of the OREA, which is tuned for a specific weight range.
The result is greater clarity, a more open soundstage and authentic, three-dimensional sound.
With or without the component's feet
A component's existing feet may fit nicely around the OREA. Alternatively, you may get better results by removing the feet or placing the OREAs beside them so they connect directly with the chassis or base.
Each OREA model has a different coloured ring on the lower isolator that identifies the model and its weight capacity.
How many OREAs you need
OREAs are used in multiples so the total capacity covers the weight of the component: total capacity = capacity per unit x number of units. Three or four per component is common, the priority being to stay within the weight capacity.
If a component is heaviest at the back, three OREAs are often used: two at the rear corners and one at the front centre. The four models are Graphite (1.8 kg), Bronze (3.6 kg), Indigo (7.2 kg) and Bordeaux (14.5 kg) per unit.
