3-way center speaker.

No home cinema is complete without a good center speaker, because this is where most of the acoustic action takes place. The Signature Center 73 naturally features an identical chassis and perfect tonal coordination to ensure a homogeneous all-round sound. The Hi-Res dual tweeter module in the center speaker is flanked by two 170 mm bass-midrange drivers, making it a true 3-way system. Like all of the speakers in the Signature 700 series, the Center 73 also features a bass reflex port in an Airflex configuration to prevent flow noise.

Tweeter & Super-Tweeter

• Front panel secured by six screws, special sound guides for optimum dispersion properties

• Newly developed high-res tweeter module with two fmax dome tweeters 1.2″ dome tweeter with extra-thick surround for low frequency coupling to the midrange Additional 0.75″ super dome tweeter for ideal omnidirectional sound distribution and extended reproduction up to 50 kHz
• Powerful neodymium ring magnet systems for best dynamics

Woofer / Midrange

• Generously vented die-cast aluminium baskets to prevent turbulence and compression effects

• Ceramic-aluminium sandwich membranes with high rigidity and optimum internal damping, optimised by inverse dust caps
• Sophisticated voice coil ventilation for a particularly high degree of resilience
• Klippel® optimised construction

Crossover

• Big Bi-Wiring/Bi-Amping connecting terminal with big screw connectors and gold-plated contacts

• Amplitude and phase-optimised crossover with acoustical 24dB filters and high-quality components

Cabinet:

• Decoupling silicone feet included

• Two-Airflex ports with rounded reflex opening for reducing wind noises
• High-gloss lacquered baffle combined with noble satin matte lacquer (body)
• Very sturdily constructed, multi-braced MDF enclosure in a timeless-modern design
• Removable fabric protection grille with optimum sound transmission and invisible magnet attachment
