Naim NAIT XS 3

In the six years since the last NAIT integrated amplifiers were released, our research and development team have worked on a range of amplifier improvements. The result is upgraded power amplifier sections for NAIT XS 3, delivering greater pace and intimacy to their musical delivery – whether it's driving a pair of loudspeakers or your favourite pair of headphones. The NAIT XS 3 has received significant performance upgrades, including a built-in phono stage, making it a perfect partner for turntables, as well as for streamers, CD players, or any other music source people want to enjoy with the signature Naim sound. The NAIT XS 3 offers much of the performance of our reference quality SUPERNAIT 3 in a simpler, slimmer package combining a 70W power amplifier with five analogue inputs plus a phono stage. Its high-performance preamplifier stage is as transparent as you would expect from a Naim Audio amplifier, and it also shares the single-ended class-A headphone output of its larger sibling. The NAIT XS 3 can be upgraded with our external power supplies, power amplifiers and even cabling upgrades to get the best from all sources.  Features With our typical obsessive attention to detail – all in service of achieving the most authentic musical performance – the NAIT XS 3 benefits from the following features: Class A headphone amplification Alps Blue Velvet volume control Reed relay input selection Ceramic insulators for the power transistors Galvanically isolated microprocessor control section Microphonic-isolating PCB mounts Technology & Craft The upgrades in more detail: Our R&D team has found a way to more than double the speed of the voltage gain stage, which in turn doubles the rate at which the speaker output stage can react.  The second gain stage transistors have been optimised, so they no longer need to be shielded by a cascode stage transistor. Removing the cascode means less amplifier stabilisation is required: that doubles the slew rate and delivers another uplift in sound quality.  The phono circuit topology comprises 3 stages: the gain stage, passive equalisation and final gain and active equalisation. This enables excellent noise performance, extended RIAA equalisation beyond the audio band and great overload headroom.  All RIAA equalisation capacitors are ‘through-hole’ mounted film designs, with low microphonic pickup and excellent transient performance. As phono stages are 1000x more sensitive than other inputs, this greatly benefits the sound quality.  Input impedance is 47kΩ in parallel with 470F capacitive loading;  the gain is perfect for 5mV moving magnet cartridges Audio InputsMM Phono Input via RCA, 47k parallel 470pF input impedance, suitable for 5mV cartridges Line Level Inputs 130mV sensitivity, 47k input impedance, suitable for 2V Power Amp In DIN Socket Audio OutputsPowered Accessory Sockets +24V for Naim phono amplifier Speaker Outputs 70W per channel into 8 ohms (4mm sockets), 100W per channel into 4 ohms Line Outputs Variable (level) Pre-amp (DIN), Sub (RCA pair) 775mV,

Naim Nait 5Si

The NAIT 5si is our 60W per channel introduction to high-performance integrated amplification. Another Naim Audio amplifier that can claim a common heritage with our classic NAIT model, the NAIT 5si will get straight to the heart of your music. It engages even the most complex rhythms and demanding dynamics with all the grip and authority you would expect from us.Its clever AV bypass mode, which facilitates an easy co-existence of otherwise distinct AV and hi-fi systems, simply adds to its appeal.Features:60W per channel power outputFour inputs with support for both DIN and RCA connections1/4” (6.35mm) headphone outputAV bypass mode for simple connection to an existing AV systemDecades have passed, but the role of the NAIT 5si is fundamentally the same as its original forebear. So the engineering challenge - to maximise performance whilst maintaining engineering efficiency, quality and reliability - hasn't changed. Amplifier technology has moved on considerably however, and while the NAIT 5si occupies the same position in the Naim Audio range as the original NAIT, its performance might be from a different world. The NAIT 5si provides four analogue inputs and a 60 Watt per channel power amplifier. It borrows numerous technologies from across the spectrum of Naim Audio products; all dedicated towards maximising its ability to communicate the fundamentals of music. And communicate it does. The NAIT 5si brings clarity, engaging dynamics and, most of all, infectious enthusiasm to every music source and genre.Specifications:Input Sensitivity: 150mVInput Impedance: 20kΩAnalogue Input: 2 x DIN, 4 x RCALine Outputs Fixed (level): 150mV, 600ΩAudio Outputs: Speakers, HDDOther Outputs: Headphone, 1/4" jackPower Output: 60W/channel, 8ΩTransient: 300VARemote Control: Infra Red (RC5)Front Panel: Volume Control, four button matrixMains Supply: 100V, 115V, 230V; 50 or 60HzPower Consumption (max.): 300VAPower Consumption (quiescent): 19VADimensions (HxWxD): 70 x 432 x 301 mm Weight: 6.8 kgShipping Dimensions: 200 x 590 x 500 mmShipping Weight: 8.6 kgSupplied with: NARCOM-4 Remote ControlFront: Black powder coatedCase: Black powder coated

Musical Fidelity M6Si Black

At Musical Fidelity we think of the M6si as being a destination product. The M6si offers such excellent performance, facilities and power that unless you are seeking the most exotic high-end sound quality you would never need another amplifier. We believe it’s that good.Internally, the M6si is configured as 2 independent monobloc power amps with a separate pre amp. It is, in fact, a pre amp with 2 monobloc power amps that just happen to share the same casework. The M6si has 220wpc. It has very low distortion, outstanding noise ratio and extremely flat frequency response. Its inputs are phono (MM/MC), 4 line level, 1 balanced XLR and 1 USB ‘B’ up to 24bit 96kHz asynchronous. The M6 combination of high power, high current and extraordinary stability means that it can drive any loudspeaker with ease.In use it is hard to hear any practical difference between the M6si and other much more expensive amplifiers. In proper blind listening comparisons, the M6si performs incredibly well. If we sound rather enthusiastic it’s because we are. Features:220WPCExcellent technical performanceAmazing load driving ability, unconditional stability will drive any loudspeakerWide range of useful inputs including asynchronous USB and switchable MM / MC PhonoPreamp outputInternally it is a separate preamp with two independent monobloc power amps; effectively a separates system in a boxExcellent, hunky build qualitySpecifications:Power output: 220 Watts per channel into 8 OhmsTHD (+ noise): 107dB ‘A’ - weightedFrequency Response: +0, –0.1dB, 10Hz to 20 kHz4x Line Level RCA1x Line Level XLR Balanced1x USB type ‘B’ connector - asynchronous data stream at up to 24-bit/96kHz1 x switchable phono inputSensitivity: 3mV nominal (MM), 0.4mV nominal (MC)Signal / noise ratio: >84dB ‘A’-weightedInput impedance: 47k Ohms (MM and MC)Frequency response: RIAA/IEC ±0.5dB 20Hz-20kHzDimensions - WxHxD (mm): 440 x 125 x 400Weight (unpacked / packed): 16.6 kg/ 21.3 kg
