Focal Theva N°3-D Light Wood (Pair)

Exclusive to Focal and made in France, the Slatefiber cone is made from recycled carbon fibres applied as a filling sandwiched between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. In their quest for perfection, Focal's engineers opted for non-woven carbon fibres, all pointing in the same direction, to achieve greater rigidity, better damping and lightness – the essentials of a great speaker driver.

Renowned for reproducing a rich, dynamic and balanced sound, the Slatefiber cone features in numerous Focal products across the home, studio and car audio ranges. In Theva N°3-D, two 6.5" (16.5 cm) Slatefiber bass drivers and one Slatefiber midrange handle the main channel.

Made by Focal in France, the aluminium/magnesium TNF tweeter with inverted dome delivers a clear and mellow treble. The surround linking the dome to its stand uses a memory foam material called Poron.

This surround is directly derived from the famous Beryllium tweeter of the Utopia range and reduces distortion by a third between 2,000 Hz and 3,000 Hz, the ear's high-sensitivity range. The result is an impressively stable and wide soundstage, with detail that stays effortless even over long listening sessions.

On top of Theva N°3-D sits a 5" (13 cm) full-range driver in a sealed enclosure, angled towards the ceiling. The sound reflects off the ceiling and reaches the listening position from above, creating an immersive Dolby Atmos® experience without installing ceiling speakers.

The main section of the speaker offers the performance of Theva N°3, with a low-frequency limit of 39 Hz and 91 dB sensitivity. A pair of Theva N°3-D with Theva Center, Theva Surround and a subwoofer forms a complete 5.1.2 system.
