Focal Theva Center Light Wood

Exclusive to Focal and made in France, the Slatefiber cone is made from recycled carbon fibres applied as a filling sandwiched between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. In their quest for perfection, Focal's engineers opted for non-woven carbon fibres, all pointing in the same direction, to achieve greater rigidity, better damping and lightness – the essentials of a great speaker driver.

Renowned for reproducing a rich, dynamic and balanced sound, the Slatefiber cone features in numerous Focal products across the home, studio and car audio ranges. In Theva Center, two 6.5" (16.5 cm) Slatefiber mid-bass drivers flank the tweeter.

Made by Focal in France, the aluminium/magnesium TNF tweeter with inverted dome delivers a clear and mellow treble. The surround linking the dome to its stand uses a memory foam material called Poron.

This surround is directly derived from the famous Beryllium tweeter of the Utopia range and reduces distortion by a third between 2,000 Hz and 3,000 Hz, the ear's high-sensitivity range. The result is an impressively stable and wide soundstage, with detail that stays effortless even over long listening sessions.

In a home cinema, the centre speaker reproduces most of the dialogue. Theva Center, a closed 2-way design with 91 dB sensitivity, delivers clear and natural voices, with a tonal balance that perfectly matches the other speakers of the range.

At 53 cm wide and 21.2 cm tall, it sits easily on a TV cabinet or on its own Theva/Vestia Center Stand. The sealed cabinet allows placement close to a wall without affecting the bass.
