Big sister to the Vintage MTR 1959, it has a larger cabinet (51 cm wide and 90 cm tall, against 38 x 60 cm) to house the big woofer and deliver powerful bass in large rooms.A 38 cm wooferThe very large 38 cm woofer uses a cellulose fibre cone, rigid and ultra-light, for a dynamic, responsive sound. Its large surface moves a lot of air, while bass-reflex loading extends the response down to 30 Hz for powerful, deep and realistic bass.

This 2.5-way speaker combines 100 W RMS of power with a downward-firing bass-reflex port for a generous sound and deep bass. With two 130 mm bass/midrange drivers, a 25 mm dome tweeter and 90 dB sensitivity, it delivers a dynamic, balanced listening experience in hi-fi and home cinema alike.A 2.5-way architectureThe 2.5-way design shares the work efficiently between the drivers for even reproduction over a wide frequency range. The crossover uses 340 Hz and 3,000 Hz crossover points with 12 dB slopes for a smooth transition from bass/midrange to treble. Coated cellulose pulp cones with polypropylene phase plugs and dust caps bring presence to the bass, articulation to the midrange and coherence to voices and instruments.
