One of the 42 mm tweeter cones is located on each sloping side at the centre of the powerful 17 cm subwoofers: The Cinema Ultra RD 200-THX follows the ideal structure of classic dipole speakers. The two tweeters are – as stipulated by THX® – connected together with reversed polarity to produce a diffuse, very three-dimensional soundscape. 2-way 80 W bipole surround speakers for a wide, immersive field
The Elipson Prestige Facet II 7SR is a pair of bipole surround speakers for home cinema, with a 14 cm woofer and two 25 mm tweeters on angled faces. They spread sound across the room so film effects surround you without being pinned to the speaker.
Diffuse surround sound
The two 25 mm tweeters on angled faces and the 14 cm woofer create a wide, diffuse sound field. The bass-reflex port on the underside gives a response from 65 Hz.
Faceted ring and audiophile crossover
Each driver is surrounded by the signature faceted synthetic-rubber ring, which reduces diffraction and baffle effect for a smoother response and a softer, more natural sound. The crossover has been redesigned from scratch with polypropylene capacitors, metal-film resistors and low-resistance inductors, for better separation between the ways and a more coherent soundstage.
On the wall, beside or behind the listener
The compact cabinet (38 × 22 × 16 cm) is easy to wall-mount. With 87 dB sensitivity, 8 Ω impedance and a recommended 30 – 120 W, the 7SR works with any AV receiver.
The silver-plated screw terminals are doubled for bi-wiring or bi-amping and accept banana plugs, spades and large-gauge cable.
