The Elipson Prestige Facet II 34F is the flagship of the Prestige Facet II range: a pair of 3-way floorstanders with twin 25 cm woofers, twin 17 cm midrange drivers and a 25 mm tweeter. It refines the multi-award-winning Prestige Facet 34F for listeners who want big, dynamic and natural sound for music and home cinema in large rooms.
Reinforced cabinet, natural sound
The thick MDF cabinet features new, redesigned internal bracing that better supports the drivers and reduces resonances. The front baffle combines two materials of different density and thickness, with a satin finish, while the new plinths decouple the speaker from the floor. The result is clean sound free of colouration and distortion.
Twin 25 cm woofers and midrange with phase plug
The two 25 cm woofers, with 50 mm voice coils for high power handling and effective cooling, share a long flared bass-reflex port and reach down to 25 Hz. The two 17 cm midrange drivers have a central metal phase plug that reduces turbulence and distortion, for a rich and natural midrange.
Audiophile crossover and faceted ring
Each driver is surrounded by the signature faceted synthetic-rubber ring, which reduces diffraction and baffle effect for a smoother response and a softer, more natural sound. The crossover has been redesigned from scratch with polypropylene capacitors, metal-film resistors and low-resistance inductors, for better separation between the ways and a more coherent soundstage.
With 94 dB sensitivity and a recommended 70 – 350 W, the 34F is easily driven by amplifiers of every class.
The silver-plated screw terminals are doubled for bi-wiring or bi-amping and accept banana plugs, spades and large-gauge cable.
