The largest bookshelf model in the range, it delivers full, gentle and precise sound, for a stereo system or as front/surround speakers in a home cinema.
Rigid cabinet
The double-thickness front made of materials of different density and the internal bracing reduce vibration, while the crossover uses high-quality components.
For stereo and home cinema
With 91 dB sensitivity and 6 Ω impedance, the 8B works with most amplifiers up to 85 W per channel. Place them on a shelf, cabinet or floor stands; they work equally well as front or surround speakers in a home cinema.
Bi-wiring and bi-amping
Dual silver-plated screw terminals accept banana plugs and spades. Lacquered front and walnut-finish cabinet.
Full sound from a bookshelf speaker
The 17 cm mid/bass driver has a central metal phase plug that controls cone movement and reduces turbulence and distortion. The result is a rich midrange and controlled bass reaching down to 47 Hz thanks to the bass-reflex cabinet.
Detailed treble
The 25 mm soft-dome tweeter reproduces high frequencies quickly and cleanly, without harshness, so listening stays pleasant even at high volume.
The Prestige Facet faceted ring
The tweeter is surrounded by the range’s exclusive faceted synthetic-rubber ring. It reduces reflections and diffraction on the baffle, for a smoother response and a more stable stereo image.
