Technics SL-G700E-K

Grand Class, High-quality Sound Design The New SL-G700 Network / Super Audio CD Player. The SL-G700 is a multi-digital player that covers most of the digital audio media available today, from traditional CD/SACD to the latest high-res and many streaming services, and plays them all back in the highest possible quality. Premium High-grade D/A Converter and Dual Mono Construction D/A Circuit For analogue audio output, the D/A circuit is one of the most important circuit blocks since it recreates the original analogue waveform from a digital source, such as a CD. For the D/A converters, Asahi Kasei Micro devices’ top-of-the-line DAC AK4497, with their high S/N ratio and low distortion, are isolated for the left and right channels. The power supply for the D/A converters is separated into five sections according to the application, and supplied individually. The power supply for the clock employs an original Battery Driven Circuit System to achieve high-accuracy D/A conversion. The Dual Mono Construction and asymmetrical layout eliminate mutual interference between left and right channels, taking the reproduction of sound imaging and sound space recorded in the source to a higher dimension. Discrete AMP Module For analogue audio output, the filter circuit located after the D/A conversion determines the quality of sound. The SL-G700’s filter circuit incorporates not an Opamp IC but an amp module of original discrete construction. The use of low-noise transistors and thin-film resistors suppresses the noise generated inside the circuits. Detailed fine tuning, such as the increase of operating current, has improved the response, S/N ratio and distortion rate. As result, the SL-G700 provides highly linear and faithful sound reproduction without omitting even the smallest nuances recorded in the source. High-speed Silent Hybrid Power Supply The quality of power supply is extremely important for high-fidelity sound reproduction. Power supply noise and supply stability directly affect the quality of sound reproduced from audio signals, particularly for analogue audio output. The SL-G700 is equipped with a dedicated power supply unit for analogue audio output. Its non-feedback switching power supply suppresses switching frequency fluctuation. Combined with the original stabilised power supply circuit, this dedicated power supply unit provides stable power with low noise. The discrete circuit structure does not use any general-purpose ICs, and meticulous tuning provides power optimised for analogue circuits, thus realising a high S/N ratio and superb reproduction, the hallmark of Technics sound. Four-Section Configuration In Digital Audio Player, there are a variety of circuits, such as Switching Power Supply which has big energy and the Digital Interface Circuit which handling high frequency signal, and also analogue circuit. The SL-G700 uses a Four-Section construction with partitions installed between the circuit blocks according to the signal level handled and circuit type. This eliminates interference between circuit blocks, thus achieving clear sound quality. Also, the chassis rigidity due to this construction suppresses the vibration of electrical parts, thereby suppressing deterioration in sound quality. High-Rigidity Drive Mechanism In the playback of a disc, the reading accuracy determines the sound quality. The CD drive mechanism features a triple chassis structure to ensure accurate reading and to prevent the vibration from transmitting to the outside of the mechanism. Moreover, the SL-G700 has a stable, aluminium die-cast disc tray with a high-vibration-damping, quiet structure to ensure high-accuracy disc playback. Supports a Wide Variety of Music Sources and High Connectivity The SL-G700 supports Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi, and AirPlay 2 with its high wireless connectivity. TEAC VRDS-701T Silver

The VRDS-701T is a commemorative CD transport model that celebrates TEAC’s 70th anniversary. Utilizing our newly-developed VRDS mechanism, it can maximize the true capabilities of a system when used in combination with a DAC.The VRDS-701T CD transport utilizes our newly-developed VRDS mechanism. The VRDS is a TEAC-original CD drive mechanism that reduces rotation vibration and other unwanted vibration by clamping the CD to an aluminum turntable with the same diameter in order to maximize inertial mass. When used in combination with a UD-701N playback is possible using the discrete DAC in the UD-701N as well as with MQA full decoding. Of course, you can also use it together with a DAC of your choosing, and build a system as you like. The inclusion of a 10MHz clock input enables flexible integration with systems that are synchronized using an external clock.Newly-developed VRDS mechanismStarting with a drive we developed that has a long record of use in broadcast applications, we added VRDS technologies, which are part of our TEAC legacy.Vibration-Free Rigid Disc-Clamping System (VRDS)This TEAC-original CD drive mechanism reduces rotation vibration of the disc itself as well as unwanted mechanism vibration by clamping the CD to an aluminum turntable with the same diameter and maximizing inertial mass in order to stabilize rotation. Servo current is reduced with the turntable by correcting disc warping and distortion and improving the relative optical axis precision of the pickup and disc pit side. This realizes reduced disc reading errors and outstanding audio quality.Bridge section supports the VRDSFor the bridge that supports the turntable, we carefully selected lightweight materials that are very rigid and do not transmit vibration. By naturally settling vibrations quickly, we have realized a wide, dynamic sound. The bridge, which has a torus structure made of resin, is only fixed on one side, and propagation of vibration from the CD mechanism to the opposite side through the bridge is suppressed, so the entire mechanism minimizes unwanted sympathetic vibrations.Semi-floating mountingThe entire CD mechanism is mounted on the sub-chassis in a semi-floating state. By controlling the transmission of vibrations between the CD mechanism and the chassis, the impact of sympathetic vibrations is abated, and natural playback sound is realized throughout the frequency range. By isolating motor vibrations from the main chassis, sympathetic vibrations within the chassis are prevented. At the same time, the CD mechanism is also isolated from external vibrations. Reading precision is also increased by isolating the CD mechanism from external vibrations.Enhanced digital outputBy eliminating the DAC function, the internal circuitry has been optimized for digital output. We have pursued higher audio quality by, for example, using larger components that did not fit in more limited space.MQA CDs can be played back using the built-in MQA core decoderThe VRDS-701T has a built-in MQA core decoder and can digitally output MQA CDs at 88.2 kHz . Moreover, when used together with a DAC that has an MQA rendering function, playback using MQA full decoding is also possible.10MHz external clock inputThe 10MHz clock input allows synchronization with an external clock. In addition to improving audio quality during playback with the VRDS-701T, this also enables synchronization of the entire system with a clock generator.Power supply enhanced using 2 high-capacity toroidal core transformersIndependent high-capacity toroidal core transformers are dedicated to the digital control section and the CD mechanism. These 2 high-capacity toroidal core transformers enable current to be supplied with greater stability.Thorough design for vibration controlPower transformers, which tend to generate vibration, are mounted on a floating structure, separating and isolating them from the bottom panel. The side fins for heat dissipation have been tailored so that each one has a different length in order to eliminate sympathetic vibrations.Three supporting pinpoint feet made of machined steel with a unique structureThe circuit board attachment screws have been kept to a minimum. Furthermore, steel pinpoint feet that use an original TEAC design with a new structure to provide a suitable amount of play in the connection between them and the bottom panel, are employed to thoroughly control vibrations that could affect audio quality.Control connectors enable coordinated use with other devicesRS-232C is present for integration with popular control systems, and trigger input and output connectors enable power coordination with other devices.Included accessoriesAC cordRemote control (RC-1338)AAA batteries ? 2Foot pads ? 3Owner's manual
