External power supply for two Chandler TG, LTD and Germanium units

The PSU-1 is Chandler Limited’s external power supply for TG, LTD and Germanium series units. It can power up to two Chandler units at the same time, with the exception of the Mini Rack Mixer, which uses its own PSU-2.

All TG series units, such as the TG1 Limiter, TG12413 Zener Limiter, TG12345 Curve Bender, TG2 and TG Channel MKII, as well as the Germanium units, require the PSU-1 to operate. An internal switch sets the mains voltage to 115 or 230 V. The connection cables to the units are sold separately.

Powering Chandler units

Chandler Limited keeps the power supply outside most of its units. The mains transformer thus stays away from the sensitive audio circuits, and the rack units remain simpler and quieter.

Two units from one supply

One PSU-1 can power two units, for example a TG2 and a TG1 Limiter, or a Curve Bender and a Zener Limiter. More units need a second PSU-1.

What it powers

The PSU-1 is required for all Chandler Limited TG units and for the Germanium units. It is not used with the Mini Rack Mixer, which has its own PSU-2. Valve units with internal power supplies, such as the RS124, RS660 and REDD.47, don’t need it.
