Your first hi-fi system

For anyone who wants proper stereo sound without a separate amplifier, speaker cables and a stack of boxes, L/R S is the simplest starting point: two speakers, one mains cable and your music from your phone.

A 3-inch long-throw woofer works with a 21 mm aluminium tweeter and precisely engineered waveguide to deliver clean vocals, articulate bass and crisp detail. Together they create an unexpectedly expansive soundstage, revealing subtle textures even at close listening distances. Each speaker has its own 50-watt amplifier, for 100 watts in total.

Balanced at any volume

DynamEQ subtly adjusts low and high frequencies as the volume changes, maintaining natural balance and warmth whether you listen quietly or turn it up. Three EQ modes (Normal, Movie and Voice) tailor the sound to music, films or speech, while speaker protection keeps the drivers safe.

Subwoofer ready

Frequency response runs from 55 Hz to 24 kHz (±3 dB). For even deeper bass, the RCA subwoofer output lets you add a subwoofer such as MSX Sub 200.

Rear-firing port

The bass reflex port on the back of the cabinet reinforces low frequencies, giving these small speakers a full-bodied bass you would not expect from their size. For best results, leave a few centimetres of space from the wall and choose the placement mode that suits your room.

A purpose-built woofer

The 7.6 cm woofer was developed specifically for this model. Its optimised suspension and motor let it move more air than a conventional driver, while the geometry of the rear port ensures smooth airflow with less turbulence and distortion. Each driver has its own 25 W of amplification.

Available in six finishes, L/R S combines a compact footprint with an understated, contemporary design. Its clean rear panel and optional tilt stand help it blend naturally into your home, adding character to the room.

Optimised for smaller spaces

Desktop and room placement modes tailor L/R S to its surroundings, so it sounds right whether it sits on a desk, a sideboard or a kitchen counter. Angled desk stands, sold separately, lift and tilt the speakers towards you for sharper detail.

Connections

Beyond Bluetooth there is an Aux RCA input for a turntable with preamp or other analogue sources, an optical input for your TV and USB-C audio for a computer. The two speakers are joined with the supplied 2 m link cable, and control comes from the included Bluetooth LE remote.

Compact dimensions

At 13.4 × 22.6 × 18 cm per speaker, L/R S fits beside a computer monitor, on a narrow shelf or next to the TV without crowding the space. The primary speaker, which houses the electronics, weighs 3 kg and the secondary 2.6 kg.

USB DAC for your computer

The USB-C input works as a USB DAC with Windows and Mac computers, turning L/R S into your desktop sound system with no extra boxes. The placement switch on the back adapts the sound depending on whether the speakers sit on a desk, a shelf or near a wall.
