Audio Technica ATH-GL3
Audio-Technica ATH-GL3The ATH-GL3 is a closed-back gaming headset designed around Audio-Technica’s hi-fi audio heritage rather than traditional “gaming headset” tuning. Instead of exaggerated bass and heavily processed sound, it focuses on clarity, positional imaging, and natural detail, making it suitable for competitive gaming, music, and media use alike. Its closed-back construction provides strong passive isolation, helping create a more immersive experience while reducing outside distractions. The design prioritizes lightweight comfort and long-session usability. At well under most gaming headset weights, the GL3 is intended for extended play without fatigue, while the detachable boom microphone and dual-cable setup make it flexible across PCs and consoles. Community feedback consistently highlights the comfort and clean sound presentation, though some users note the ear pads can feel slightly shallow depending on ear shape.Key Features:Closed-back high-fidelity gaming headsetLightweight over-ear design for long gaming sessions45 mm dynamic drivers for detailed audio reproductionDetachable hypercardioid boom microphoneIntegrated volume control and mic mute switchCompatible with PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devicesIncludes detachable TRRS console cable and split PC cableTuned for positional audio and immersive gamingWired-only low-latency connectionMinimalist non-RGB design philosophy
