Audiophile wireless headphones with ANC, parametric EQ and BTD 700 dongle
The Sennheiser HDB 630 are closed-back wireless headphones for audiophiles, bringing the neutral, detailed sound of the HD series to a portable design with active noise cancellation. They are made for listeners who refuse to compromise on sound quality when they leave home.
The 42 mm transducers are built in Ireland, playback reaches 24 bit / 96 kHz via USB-C, analogue input or the included BTD 700 dongle, and battery life runs up to 60 hours. Colour: Lunar Silver.
Audiophile sound, cut loose
The HDB 630 are the first wireless Sennheiser headphones to carry the HD name, and you can hear it. The 42 mm transducers, built at the company's factory in Tullamore, Ireland, deliver neutral tonality, detailed mids and a wide stereo image, very close to what you would expect from wired listening headphones.
Over Bluetooth they support aptX HD and aptX Adaptive, and with the BTD 700 dongle included in the box they reach 24 bit / 96 kHz from a computer, phone or tablet with USB-C, even when the device does not support aptX on its own. For an even more direct connection, digital audio also runs straight over the USB-C cable, while the 3.5 mm analogue input covers headphone amplifiers and in-flight entertainment systems.
Tune the sound like an engineer
The Smart Control Plus app goes far beyond a basic equalizer. With the parametric EQ you set the frequency, bandwidth (Q) and filter type of each band, and an A/B button lets you compare your setting with the original response. If you prefer something simpler, there is also a five-band equalizer with ready presets you can share.
Crossfeed mimics the way we hear speakers in a room, so older stereo recordings with hard-panned channels sound more natural and less tiring on headphones. In the app you can also choose the codec, adjust noise cancellation and enable on-head detection.
Quiet and stamina for long journeys
Adaptive noise cancellation and the sealed, closed-back design cut out the noise of planes, trains and the city without colouring the character of the sound. When needed, Transparency mode lets ambient sound through the microphones.
The battery lasts up to 60 hours, and ten minutes of charging gives you seven hours of music. Synthetic leather ear pads and a padded headband stay comfortable for hours, while the carry case holds the headphones together with the BTD 700, cables and in-flight adapter.
