Focal Theva N°2 Light Wood (Pair)

Exclusive to Focal and made in France, the Slatefiber cone is made from recycled carbon fibres applied as a filling sandwiched between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. In their quest for perfection, Focal's engineers opted for non-woven carbon fibres, all pointing in the same direction, to achieve greater rigidity, better damping and lightness – the essentials of a great speaker driver.

Renowned for reproducing a rich, dynamic and balanced sound, the Slatefiber cone features in numerous Focal products across the home, studio and car audio ranges. In Theva N°2, two 5" (13 cm) Slatefiber bass drivers and one Slatefiber midrange work together in a 3-way design.

Made by Focal in France, the aluminium/magnesium TNF tweeter with inverted dome delivers a clear and mellow treble. The surround linking the dome to its stand uses a memory foam material called Poron.

This surround is directly derived from the famous Beryllium tweeter of the Utopia range and reduces distortion by a third between 2,000 Hz and 3,000 Hz, the ear's high-sensitivity range. The result is an impressively stable and wide soundstage, with detail that stays effortless even over long listening sessions.

Thanks to its 5" drivers, Theva N°2 is only 19.1 cm wide and 93.1 cm tall, so it blends discreetly into any living room. Its tilted base time-aligns the drivers towards the listening position, for a realistic soundstage.

With 90 dB sensitivity, a low-frequency limit of 44 Hz and a recommended amplifier power of 40–200 W, it delivers rich bass without needing a large room. It suits a stereo system or the front channels of a home cinema with Theva Center and Theva Surround.
