Focal Theva N°1 Light Wood (Pair)

Exclusive to Focal and made in France, the Slatefiber cone is made from recycled carbon fibres applied as a filling sandwiched between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. In their quest for perfection, Focal's engineers opted for non-woven carbon fibres, all pointing in the same direction, to achieve greater rigidity, better damping and lightness – the essentials of a great speaker driver.

Renowned for reproducing a rich, dynamic and balanced sound, the Slatefiber cone features in numerous Focal products across the home, studio and car audio ranges. In Theva N°1, a single 6.5" (16.5 cm) Slatefiber mid-bass driver covers everything below 3,000 Hz.

Made by Focal in France, the aluminium/magnesium TNF tweeter with inverted dome delivers a clear and mellow treble. The surround linking the dome to its stand uses a memory foam material called Poron.

This surround is directly derived from the famous Beryllium tweeter of the Utopia range and reduces distortion by a third between 2,000 Hz and 3,000 Hz, the ear's high-sensitivity range. The result is an impressively stable and wide soundstage, with detail that stays effortless even over long listening sessions.

Standing 39.2 cm tall, Theva N°1 fits easily on a shelf, a cabinet or a bookcase, and pairs ideally with the 55 cm Theva/Vestia N°1 Stand. The stand is tilted so that the drivers are time-aligned towards the listening position, for a more focused and stable stereo image.

With 89 dB sensitivity and a recommended amplifier power of 25–100 W, it works easily with amplifiers and streaming amplifiers of every category. It is the basis for an elegant stereo system or the rear channels of a home cinema with the other speakers of the Theva range.
