The heart of the Horizon 20 Pro is based on the triple laser X-Master RGB engine, a configuration that uses 30 separate laser chips to directly generate the three primary colors. This architecture eliminates the need for a color wheel, eliminating the characteristic rainbow effect of conventional DLP projectors. This configuration allows for 4,100 ISO lumens to be achieved while maintaining impressive color stability throughout the 20,000-hour lifetime of the light source.

Lens shift and optical zoom: installation flexibility without compromise

For the first time in XGIMI’s home projector series, the Horizon 20 Pro incorporates a mechanical lens shift system. This feature allows for vertical projection shift of ±120% and horizontal shift of ±45% without physically moving the projector and, most importantly, without any digital scaling or distortion. The maximum horizontal shift of ±45% is only available when the vertical shift is at zero, but the range of motion remains remarkable for a projector in this category.

The Horizon 20 Pro sets new standards for projector gaming with an input lag of just 1 ms at 1080p at 240 Hz, 2.2 ms at 1080p at 120 Hz, and 3 ms at 4K at 60 Hz. These figures, usually the preserve of specialized gaming monitors, make the projector a reliable alternative for competitive gamers. VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support dynamically synchronizes the projector’s refresh rate with that of the console or PC, eliminating tearing and stuttering even when the framerate changes.

The MT9679 SoC processor, combined with the 8445 driver, handles video processing with remarkable efficiency. This duo ensures low-latency 4K streaming and maintains fluidity even in the most demanding scenes. MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) technology analyzes and interpolates frames for smoother transitions, particularly noticeable in panoramic and fast-moving scenes. AISR (AI Super Resolution) uses artificial intelligence to improve the upscaling of lower resolution content in real time, preserving details and reducing artifacts.
