With airy high-frequencies, expressive midrange and surprisingly extended bass, the OPTICON LCR MK2 is an on-wall speaker that delivers genuine stereo and surround sound hi-fi performance.A flexible stereo and multichannel speakerThe OPTICON LCR MK2 incorporates the best technologies from the MK2 series in a low-profile, wall-mounted enclosure. Serving as a left, centre or right-channel speaker – hence the name LCR – this multipurpose, wall-mounted surround speaker delivers genuine stereo and multichannel Hi-Fi performance with impressive high-frequencies, an expressive midrange and surprisingly extended bass.Reducing distortion with Soft Magnetic CompoundThe OPTICON LCR MK2 driver magnet system consists of a large ferrite ring magnet surrounding a pole-piece manufactured entirely of the unique DALI SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) material. The use of SMC greatly reduces mechanical distortion caused by hysteresis and eddy currents, resulting in a drastic reduction in third-order distortion for extended listening pleasure, a relaxed midrange and a surprising amount of detailing. The master of wide dispersionOur signature hybrid tweeter module marries a 29 mm soft dome tweeter with a custom 17 x 45 mm ribbon element. Both drivers are mounted on a cast aluminium faceplate, which provides a solid platform for the drivers and incorporates dispersion control detailing for optimal delivery of the high frequencies for off-axis listening. Our hybrid tweeter offers the best of both worlds – the clarity, speed and dynamics of a dome tweeter with the very high-frequency detail and smooth finesse of a ribbon tweeter.Low loss, low distortion and low colourationThe 6½" bass driver has been designed according to our sound design principles of low loss, low distortion and low colouration. The ideal driver plays only what the amplifier supplies... nothing is added, nothing is taken away. Every component is carefully designed to contribute towards this goal, including the paper pulp and wood fibre cone, which ensures minimal break-up resonance for a high resolution midrange and precise, coherent bass.Ensuring the highest quality productsWith a 25 mm thick front baffle and extra internal bracing, the OPTICON LCR MK2 cabinet is extremely rigid and practically eliminates panel resonance. To ensure the best possible quality product, we manufacture and test OPTICON MK2 series speakers at our production facilities in central Denmark, carrying out everything from cutting and routing of the wood laminate panels to installing the drivers and crossover.

The DALI ALTECO C-1 is truly a multipurpose speaker in both design and function. DALI wanted to ensure that the ALTECO C-1 is usable as both a height speaker as well as a traditional stereo speaker. By designing the crossover for stereo use and by keeping a strict focus on DALI sound design principles, we have created a speaker that fulfills both criteria. It is the perfect fit for adding height information to a surround setup or taking the role as an out-of-the-way stereo speaker. The ALTECO C-1 delivers believable height information from Atmos, DTS-X and Auro-3D movies in surround setup - not only when “firing up” using the ceiling as a reflector, but also “firing down” from a position up under the ceiling. The ALTECO C-1 is able to achieve this even without special equalizing in order to enhance the effects from HRTF (Head Related Transfer Function) technology. A technology found in Atmos certified speakers.Instead the ALTECO C-1 relies only on the height processing done in the amplifier, when selected. Had we included non-linear HRTF equalizing in the ALTECO C1, it would have been impossible to use it as a versatile neutral speaker, limiting the use to only an up-firing type speaker.Designed the way it is the DALI ALTECO C-1 offers the best from several worlds giving you ultimate flexibility and multiple applications. DUAL SOUND MODEThe unique angular design combined with the dual sound mode enables this speaker to be used in a multitude of different scenarios. Choose 'UP' on the front baffle switch to beam the sound waves either straight out for a soft downwards angle, or by selecting 'DOWN', beaming the sound almost straight down for close position listening.UP-FIRINGThe angular design of this speaker makes it perfect for up-firing use. Combined with a surround receiver that has the ability to render height information (Dolby Atmos, DTS-X or Auro-3D), placing it on top of the front speakers, and even on top of the rear speakers will offer an excellent ceiling reflected rendering of height information in compatible movies and concerts.WOOD FIBRE CONESOur low-loss drivers uses a mix of low-mass paper cones with wood fibre reinforcement. The embedded wood fibres give the surface an uneven structure, which dramatically minimizes the resonance of the surface. This creates the best possible reproduction of every detail in the audio signal.SOFT DOME TWEETERThe dome tweeter offers best-in-class resolution with an extended frequency response, wide dispersion and low coloration. A clear heritage from our high-end series. The tweeter is based on an ultra-lightweight weaved fabric, which weighs less than half of the market standard (0.056 mg/mm2). Specifications :Product seriesALTECOFrequency Range (+/-3 dB) [Hz]74 - 25,000 HzSensitivity (2,83 V/1 m) [dB]83.0 dBNominal Impedance [ohms]6 ohmsMaximum SPL [dB]103 dBRecommended Amplifier Power [W]40 - 100 WattCrossover Frequency [Hz]2,100 HzCrossover Principle2-wayHigh frequency driver, Quantity1 x 21 mmHigh frequency driver, Diaphragm typeSoft Textile Dome Low frequency driver, Quantity1 x 4.5"Low frequency driver, Diaphragm typeWood Fibre Cone Enclosure typeClosed Box Connection InputSingle Wire (Spring loaded push button) Recommended PlacementOn-Wall On speaker Recommended Distance From Wall [cm]    1 - 100 cmDimensions (HxWxD) [mm]265 x 160 x 200Weight [kg]2.9 kgAccessories IncludedRubber Feet Manual
