Barefoot MiniMain12 (Ζεύγος)

Barefoot Sound is proud to introduce the revolutionary new MiniMain12, possibly the most accurate, revealing and technologically advanced recording monitor ever made. This is a bold statement, but the MiniMain12 is an incredibly bold speaker. With vanishing low distortion, breathtakingly wide dynamic range, ultra-fast transient response plus our amazing MEME™(Multi Emphasis Monitor Emulation™) technology. The MiniMain12 is a 4-way active system with 7 drive units housed in sealed enclosures spanning 20Hz to 40kHz with vanishingly low distortion, breathtaking dynamic range and ultra-fast transient response.Every driver has an under-hung voice coil moving inside an advanced geometry motor that enables it make extremely long linear excursions. The ring radiator tweeter is incredibly detailed and produces very wide dispersion out to its highest frequencies. The aluminum cone subwoofers, woofers and midranges radiate as perfect pistons to at least 2.5 octaves beyond their respective bandwidths. Barefoot has teamed up with the brilliant Bruno Putzeys of Hypex to develop the powerful and completely transparent amplifier stage of the MM12. Melding the system together is a groundbreaking DSP crossover that has taken Thomas Barefoot more than 4 years to develop. With beautifully designed high end converts and cutting edge proprietary filtering techniques the MiniMain12 produces such a seamless and coherent wavefront that, if you dare, you can actually listen to this speaker from less than 3 feet away with no sonic compromise. And yes, the MM12 works perfectly out to far field distances as well, producing SPLs equivalent to big mains. If all this weren’t enough, the MiniMain12 brings yet another revolutionary feature into the mix – MEME™(Multi Emphasis Monitor Emulation™) technology. While no other monitor in the world can match the MM12’s linearity and transparency, the MM12 actually has the capability to emulate other speakers! Despite the advantages of high resolution monitors, Thomas Barefoot realizes that many engineers still use their NS10M’s † and mix cubes as secondary references. These speakers have long traditions and people find them familiar and useful for focusing in on certain aspects of their mix. However, crowding one’s console with those extra boxes degrades the sound field of the primary reference monitors. Not to mention, they are no longer manufactured, they need amplifiers, cable runs, and they consume more studio space. So why not make the MM12 sound and translate like those speakers as well? With the turn of a knob one can switch from the MiniMain12’s brutally revealing “Flat” response to the warmer and sweeter “Hi-Fi” setting, generically emulating the sound of some high end consumer audio gear. More specifically the “Old School” setting closely emulates the sound of the NS10M nearfield, while the “Cube” setting emulates the mid-centric sound of classic mix cubes The idea is not to perfectly replicate every subtle quirk of these venerable old speakers. That would be impossible. But the MiniMain12 can capture the essence of how they behave and translate, modeling their frequency, phase and transient responses, dynamic compression and even some of their distortion components. If you know how to work on these speaker you will feel very comfortable working on the MM12’s emulation settings. Χαρακτηριστικά:Controls: Analog/AES3 input select, AES3 L/R channels select, Input level stepped attenuator, Subwoofer level, Emulation voice selectInput Impedance: 50k OhmFrequency Response: 20Hz – 50kHz (±3dB),28Hz – 40kHz (±1dB)Bass Response: -3 dB @ 20Hz, Q = 0.707Slope = 12 dB/octaveCabinet: 90 liters total internal volume, Sealed sub enclosure, Sealed woofer enclosures, Sealed woofer enclosure, Machined aluminum baffle plate, Aluminum subwoofer frames function as lateral cabinet bracing, Long fiber wool acoustic damping throughout.Crossover Frequencies: 80 / 800 / 4000 HzTweeter: 1″ ring radiator, Advanced geometry motor, Rear waveguide chamberAmplifier: 250W HypexMidranges: 2 x 2.5″ aluminum cones, Advanced geometry motor, +/- 2 mm linear excursionAmplifier: 250W HypexWoofers: 2 x 7″ aluminum cones, Advanced geometry motor, +/- 13 mm linear excursionAmplifier: 250W HypexSubwoofers: 2 x 12″ aluminum cones, Advanced geometry motor, +/- 25 mm linear excursionAmplifier: 1200W HypexAC Power Input: Nominal 115 VAC or 230 VAC selectablePower Consumption: Idle: 50W, Maximum: 1500WWeight: Speaker: 120 lbs each (54 kg) – no handlesShipping: 135 lbs each (61 kg) – no handlesDimensions HxWxD: 26.0 x 14.4 x 21.9 inches (660 x 366 x 556 mm)

Barefoot MasterStack12 (Ζεύγος)

Barefoot Sound is proud to introduce the revolutionary new MiniMain12, possibly the most accurate, revealing and technologically advanced recording monitor ever made. This is a bold statement, but the MiniMain12 is an incredibly bold speaker. With vanishing low distortion, breathtakingly wide dynamic range, ultra-fast transient response plus our amazing MEME™(Multi Emphasis Monitor Emulation™) technology. The MiniMain12 is a 4-way active system with 7 Over a decade ago, Thomas Barefoot applied his expertise and experience as an engineer, scientist and inventor in the computer industry to his lifelong passion for music. Approaching the pro audio industry with a fresh pair of eyes, he concluded that every project would benefit from using monitors with the same sound quality, dynamic range and bass extension at each stage of the production process. The innovative reference monitor designs that Thomas subsequently developed not only deliver the same performance and quality from recording through mastering, they also turned the studio monitor speaker business on its head, outperforming many well-established high-end products. The MasterStack12 represents the pinnacle of Thomas’ achievements in monitor speaker design to-date. Barefoot’s flagship reference monitor system is a 4.5-way active modular tower with 10 drive units — a 1-in. ring radiator tweeter, two 2.5-in. mid-range, three 7-in. woofers and four 12-in. subwoofers — housed in two cabinets. A third enclosure houses signal and power distribution and may be optionally used as a decoupling base unit for each tower. What is a 4.5-way system? In a typical 4-way system, subwoofers, woofers, mid-range drivers and tweeters all operate within discrete frequency bands, transitioning from one to the next at the frequencies set in the crossover networks. In the MasterStack12 system, all three woofers work together in the lower frequencies of the band, down to the frequency at which the subwoofers take over. But only two woofers extend up to the mid-range band crossover point. Having three woofers working together in the lower portion of the band offers lower distortion through greater efficiency. At higher frequencies, where the signal becomes increasingly more directional, there is a smooth transition to the wider dispersion pattern created by just two woofers.Four speakers in oneLike all Barefoot monitors, the MasterStack12 features revolutionary MEME™ (Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation™) technology, which harnesses sophisticated DSP modeling to mimic the frequency, phase, transient response, dynamic compression and distortion characteristics of various classic nearfield studio monitors. Many people still like to reference their work on old, familiar monitors to check how their mixes will translate or to focus on a specific aspect. But with Barefoot monitors you can put those other reference speakers into storage and free up some space on the console, because one set of MasterStack12 monitors can take the place of three alternate pairs.Using a wired remote you can switch your Barefoot monitors through four different voices and preview your mix as it would sound through three alternate reference speakers, all without moving from the optimum stereo listening position. “Old School” rolls off the extreme highs and lows and brings the mid-range presence forward, capturing the essence of the NS10M. “Cube” is an homage to the classic full-range micro-monitor and is a useful reference setting for any mix that you expect to be played on earbuds through a laptop or handheld device. “HiFi” behaves like a home audiophile speaker, warming up the mid-range and sweetening the highs, for client playback or just listening in the control room. “Flat” selects the true, revealing Barefoot sound. Χαρακτηριστικά:Controls: Analog/AES3 input select, AES3 L/R channels select, Input level stepped attenuator, Subwoofer level, Emulation voice selectInput Impedance: 25k OhmFrequency Response: 18Hz – 50kHz (±3dB)26Hz – 40kHz (±1dB)Bass Response: -3 dB @ 18Hz, Q = 0.707Slope = 12 dB/octaveCabinet: 180 liters total internal volume, Sealed sub enclosures, Sealed woofer enclosures, Sealed woofer enclosure, Machined aluminum baffle plate, Aluminum subwoofer frames function as lateral cabinet bracing, Long fiber wool acoustic damping throughout.Crossover Frequencies: 80 / 200 / 800 / 4000 HzTweeter: 1″ ring radiator, Advanced geometry motor, Rear waveguide chamberAmplifier: 250W HypexMidranges: 2 x 2.5″ aluminum cones, Advanced geometry motor, +/- 2 mm linear excursionAmplifier: 250W HypexWoofers: 3 x 7″ aluminum cones, Advanced geometry motor, +/- 13 mm linear excursionAmplifier: 500W HypexSubwoofers: 4 x 12″ aluminum cones, Advanced geometry motor, +/- 25 mm linear excursionAmplifier: 2400W HypexAC Power Input: Nominal 115 VAC or 230 VAC selectablePower Consumption: Idle: 100W, Maximum: 1800WWeight: Weight: 280 lbs per tower (127 kg) – no handlesShipping: 325 lbs per tower (147 kg) – no handlesDimensions HxWxD: Cabinet: 63.0 x 14.4 x 21.9 inches (1600 x 366 x 556 mm)Footprint WxD: 23.0 x 21.5 (584 x 546 mm)

Adam S5H

The S5H is a powerful main monitor custom-designed for the demanding rigours of reference listening in the world’s most expansive studios and control rooms. The three-way S5H was conceived, as its name suggests, to be used in a horizontal orientation and features two 10-inch Extended Linear Excursion (ELE) bass drivers, newly designed by ADAM Audio expressly for the S Series. Like the LF ELE units on all the other members of the range, the S5H’s woofers feature ADAM Audio’s proprietary Symmetrical Magnet Assembly (SMA) guaranteeing that low-frequency audio remains tightly controlled and free of distortion at all times. The all-important mid-range frequencies are handled by ADAM Audio’s new hybrid DCH. This innovative 4-inch MF driver was also newly developed by ADAM Audio exclusively for the S Series and combines the sonic advantages of cone and dome drivers in a single, one-piece unit. Together with the S-ART treble driver — the latest iteration of ADAM Audio’s widely respected folded-ribbon tweeter, now produced to tighter tolerances than ever before — the resulting combination produces a powerful but unfatiguing sound, with a palpable sense of depth: the last word in high-resolution, natural-sounding audio reproduction. The off-axis responses of the treble and mid drivers remain extremely accurate thanks to the addition of high- and mid-frequency waveguides milled from solid aluminum: ADAM Audio’s newly developed Mid-range and High-frequency Propagation Systems (MPS and HPS). The resultant stable, wide-ranging dispersion ensures that teams of more than one person can work in the loudspeakers’ sweet spot simultaneously, as is often necessary in larger control rooms. The S Series’ custom-designed DSP optimizes the loudspeaker crossovers to create linear responses for the entire range, as well as providing user equalization and in-room tuning/voicing functions. The DSP also handles the limiter-based high-frequency driver protection, processes the signals from the AES3 digital inputs, and will in time facilitate various expansion options. Software updates can be carried out with ease via the associated USB port, which also allows users to connect computers and control the speakers’ DSP functions via a software front-end. No fewer than three separate amplifiers power the drivers: a 700 W Class D design for the bass drivers, a 300 W Class D for the mid range and a 100 W Class D unit for the S-ART tweeter. With its innovative features, advanced design, generous headroom and enormous dynamic range, the S5H takes its rightful place as ADAM Audio’s flagship reference monitor: an extraordinary loudspeaker offering audio reproduction to the very highest standards of fidelity.
