The Tube Box S3 B is a audiophile phono preamplifier that brings true analog warmth to your vinyl playback. It features a fully symmetrical and discrete gain stage, balanced 5-pin mini XLR input, and balanced XLR outputs. Made in Europe, the Tube Box S3 B is a compact yet powerful upgrade for any serious vinyl setup. It can be used for balanced signal transmission with the appropriate cartridge and cable, or simply enjoy it as conventional single-ended (RCA) phono stage.

Cartridge Loading Options

Large ranges from 40dB up to 65dB are possible. A fully balanced design makes all the difference here. You can perfectly match it with a wide variety of cartridges and integrate it into the rest of your HiFi system, matching the volume levels accurately to other sources like CD players or streaming devices. The loading options for MM and MC are designed so that the widest array of cartridges will work perfectly with the Tube Box S3 B. Ultra low values like 50pF or 10ohms allow you to account for special situations, for example sub-ideal higher capacitance cables. Each input setting is stored in the memory. The Tube Box S3 B always has you fully covered.

Balanced-Capable

The symmetrical design is the real standout feature! Connect your turntable with the 5-pin mini XLR cable to benefit from the balanced signal path. Symmetrical (balanced) transmissions consist of a hot and a cold (also called + and -) signal. Both signal chains effectively carry the same musical information. A balanced gain stage can now extract the final musical information out of the +/- signals while canceling all noise that may accrue along the path. As there are two separate signal chains, we also needed two individual amplifier sections. This is unseen in this price range & offers the best and cleanest amplification for your phono signal!
