Seamless integration into your monitoring system

In front-firing mode, the CLA-Sub delivers the cleanest, most accurate bass response, as it doesn’t couple with the floor. In down-firing mode, however, the subwoofer couples to the room by design, thus increasing its output by 3dB. To convert the CLA-Sub from front- to down-firing mode, simply relocate the rubber isolation feet, which are fabricated using a specialized vibration-damping compound that diminishes mechanical coupling with the floor to reduce sympathetic vibrations that can color the sound.

Proprietary dual-magnet 10-inch driver

The CLA-Sub’s proprietary 10-inch driver is designed for maximum output with vanishingly low distortion. Its stacked dual ferrite magnet design moves air with higher efficiency and control than conventional woofers. The driver employs a rigid paper cone substrate to minimize distortion, overtones, and harmonics, while providing fast transient response. Designed to accommodate any studio monitoring or home playback setup, the CLA-Sub is spec’d with a high-cut control, sweepable from 50Hz to 180Hz, that lets you dial in the crossover point to your main monitors. There’s also an output low-cut filter that lets you trim the low end at 80Hz or 100Hz for the signal sent to your main monitors. The CLA-Sub also includes polarity and gain controls, and a switchable standby mode that puts the unit into a power-efficient sleep mode after 30 minutes of inactivity. The rear panel is fitted with locking XLR/TRS combo inputs to keep your audio connections secure. And finally, the sub can be toggled on/off using a footswitch for convenient A/B comparisons.
