For plasterboard, wood, or other surfaces, suitable mounting hardware may be required.
Comes only in combination with SPU124 Cartridge.2020: The TD 124 returns - as the TD 124 DDAs manufacturers, we are naturally not entirely neutral. However, if we consider the Thorens TD 124 to be one of the great iconic turntables in Hi-Fi history, thousands of music enthusiasts, fans, and professionals worldwide will agree with us. The 60s-era turntable is immortal not only because of its proverbial durability but also because of its sound, which still captivates as it did 60 years ago. Our reissue of this classic faced a significant challenge: combining the design language of the legendary predecessor with sound quality of timeless relevance and the advantages of modern design and manufacturing methods. We took our time. And in 2020, after years of development, we introduced the TD 124 DD, a completely new player dressed in the attire of its famous ancestor. It possesses the same musicality and future-proofness, along with a newly developed world-class tonearm, the TP 124.TD 124 DD 140th Anniversary: Valuable Upgrades for the JubileeThe worldwide success of our TD 124 DD did not prevent us from continuing to research, listen, and experiment with this already highly perfected player. In the process, we have discovered some truly effective upgrades that are now incorporated into our anniversary player, the TD 124 DD 140th Anniversary. One visible upgrade at first glance is the new two-layer platter, which connects the already heavy aluminum platter of the 124 DD with a five-millimeter-thick layer of solid copper. The sonic success of this measure is not solely due to the increased mass but also the interaction of two different materials whose resonances cancel each other out. Concerns about the platter bearing are unfounded as we had already generously over-dimensioned it for the TD 124 DD, as well as the drive, which could handle even larger loads in motion.Less obvious than the sandwich platter but equally rewarding is the new wiring of the TP 124 tonearm. In the Anniversary version, high-purity silver wire connects the cartridge to the outputs. We believe that the new wiring particularly makes a positive impact with low-output moving coil (MC) cartridges. This system family also includes the third exclusive upgrade of the Anniversary: a special version of our SPU 124, produced by the Danish manufacturer Ortofon with coils made of pure silver. We even convinced Ortofon to manufacture the classic cartridge housing from the old material, Bakelite, instead of the newer fiber-resin composite. Those who are eager to add one to their SPU collection must be disappointed: This limited-edition world-class MC cartridge is only available as a package with the TD 124 DD 140th Anniversary.Arm and Drive in Proven Reference-Class QualityThe powerful direct drive of the TD 124 DD is also utilized in the Anniversary model. It guarantees long-term perfect and quiet operation with complete maintenance-free performance. And it provides that special dynamic grip reminiscent of the firm friction wheel sound of the 60-year-old original model but enriched with new and elegant facets. Apart from the silver wiring, the TP 124 tonearm is the same as the 2020 model. Its torsion-resistant arm tube, slightly higher effective mass, outstanding bearing quality, and the SME headshell coupling make it a competent guide for the finest MC systems. The eye also celebrates: The Anniversary FinishTo match the occasion, we have selected a timeless and beautiful real wood veneer that visually transforms the TD 124 DD 140th Anniversary into a precious rarity. For a harmonious overall impression, we have enhanced not only the plinth but also the armboard with high-gloss lacquered and hand-polished wood. We naturally remain faithful to the classic, unobtrusive, and relatively compact proportions of the turntable. This creates an analog gem that combines refined design and uncompromising quality with rare consistency.High Precision Direct Drive MotorElectrical LiftTP124 TonearmRemovable Headshell (SME connector)Prepared for SPU 124 CartridgeBalanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) outputsExternal power supply
Vinyl replay makes a huge contribution to the enjoyment of recorded music. At its best, vinyl has a uniquely engaging and musical quality, and with the SuperLine phonostage, the best of vinyl just gets better. The SuperLine is a high performance moving-coil phono stage built in the Naim Audio aluminium reference enclosure with an anodised front panel. It brings all Naim Audio's latest analogue electronic design and environmental isolation techniques to bear on the most delicate analogue element of any hi-fi system - the moving-coil phono signal. The SuperLine requires an external power supply - either the power supply output of an appropriate Naim Audio preamplifier or the SUPERNAIT and NAIT XS integrated amplifiers, or, for optimum performance, a dedicated FlatCap XS, HiCap or SuperCap. SuperLine brings out all that's best in vinyl replay - timing, pitch accuracy, clarity, detail, and the unmistakable naturalness that records can deliver in abundance. Features: RCA and BNC inputs Moving coil only, with cartridge impedance matching adjustment (20 different load combinations possible) Suspension system for delicate electronics as used in 500 Series 24V supply voltage from NaimUniti 2, NAIT XS 2, SUPERNAIT 2, Naim Audio preamplifier (except NAC-N 172 XS), FlatCap XS, HiCap or SuperCap required Bead-blasted, black anodised front panel Technology & Craft The heart of the SuperLine is a new, two-stage single-ended Class A discrete amplifier with part-passive RIAA filtering that runs off 25 internally regulated power supplies and features the transistor "quiet room" thermal isolation technique originally developed for the NAP 500 power amplifier. Environmental isolation is also ensured by the SuperLine's massive sub-chassis and high-Q spring suspension system - used here for the first time on a phono amplifier. Duplicate phono and BNC sockets provide input versatility, and cartridge impedance matching adjustment is provided by four resistive and three capacitive load plugs. In combination with the SuperLine's internal input load, twenty different standard load combinations are possible The SuperLine is also available in a lower gain model, SuperLine E. For the first time, a spring-suspended sub-chassis with an inner platter driven by a flat belt was used in a mass-produced unit. The principle proved to be very successful and found many imitators in the years since.Like its famous predecessor, the new Thorens TD 1500, which will be operated purely manually, features a sub-chassis that decouples the turntable and tonearm shelf from the motor and frame by means of three conical springs. In contrast to the TD 150, these springs can be adjusted from above through corresponding holes in the platter, which makes correct adjustment much easier. The speed of the DC motor is electronically monitored by an incremental encoder and deviations, e.g. caused by a broom, are automatically corrected. This also enables very good wow and flutter values. As a real unique selling point in its class, the TD 1500 has XLR outputs in addition to the usual pair of RCA jacks, thus enabling true balanced operation with a suitable MC cartridge.Newly developed Thorens TP 150 tonearmThe new TP 150 tonearm is similar to the TP 124 used on the new TD 124 DD. It has an effective mass of 14 grams, is adjustable in height and azimuth and is equipped with a standard SME connector, so headshells can easily be switched or other cartridges mounted. The anti-skating is set by a sliding weight in the base of the arm, which is adjusted on a nylon thread guided over a ruby bearing.A high-quality and pre-adjusted 2M Bronze pickup from the Danish pickup specialist Ortofon, is also supplied as standard. This proves to be a perfect playing partner due to its naked diamond with Fine Line cut.

Inspired by the legendary KORG Mono/Poly, the new KORG multi/poly analog modeling synthesizer delivers breathtaking analog sounds combined with extraordinary digital power and flexibility. The original Mono/Poly boasted an unusually rich sound from its four stacked oscillators, as well as unique, experimental features like flexible x-mod and sync routing and round-robin oscillator triggering. Previously only attainable in large modular systems, the Mono/Poly delivered these features in a compact, user-friendly instrument. The new multi/poly is the first instrument to use KORG's next-generation analog modeling technology and builds on that legendary distinctive combination of big sounds and modular-derived experimental features. It's like a polyphonic modular system in a compact, hands-on package – a limitless playground for synth players and sound designers. Create hardware mash-ups with East-coast, West-coast, and wavetable oscillators and a wide selection of newly-modeled filters. Make them come alive with models of different envelope, VCA, and portamento circuits. Virtual voice cards produce organic timbral variation. Layer Rotate triggers new Programs with each press of a key. Plus Kaoss Physics, Motion Sequencing 2.0, massive modulation, and more.Next-level analog modelingThe multi/poly features redesigned, incredible-sounding filters and oscillators – and its advances in analog modeling go so much deeper. To start with, each voice has a Virtual Voice Card whose oscillators, filters, envelopes, LFOs, and portamento circuits model analog hardware component variations. The result is that each voice has a slightly different character, creating naturally rich timbres. Dial in as much or as little of this variation as you like, separately for each sound.Just like in an analog synth, voice cards also continue to play even if you're not hearing them. Envelopes keep evolving, so that if you play a pad with a long release time, newly played notes "catch" the envelope at its current level instead of restarting from zero. Oscillators and LFOs maintain their phase, and resonance continues to ring. Each oscillator’s pitch can also drift slightly over time, modeling the slight pitch instabilities found in analog hardware.Envelopes are an often-overlooked factor that contributes to the unique sounds of vintage synths. The multi/poly includes envelope curvature presets for the Mono/Poly, MS-20, "Mini," "Pro," ARP Odyssey, and more. Also, analog VCAs don’t respond evenly to voltage, and have different thresholds for turning on and off, which in turn has a strong effect on the Amp Envelope's character. So, the multi/poly features modeled VCA responses from the Mono/Poly, MS-20, Mini, Odyssey, and Prophet 5, as well as a linear option.Ever tried to re-create a portamento effect from a favorite song, but couldn't find the right setting even when you switched between "constant rate" and "constant time?" Classic analog synths had different approaches to portamento, too, and so the multi/poly has six different portamento models to choose from.OscillatorsThe multi/poly offers FOUR oscillators per Program, for unusually thick, complex tones. Each can use the Classic, Digital, or Waveshaper oscillator types. The Classic oscillator models traditional analog synth oscillators with stunning fidelity and effortless thickness. 11 options include both single and dual waveforms, for modeling synths that generated multiple waveforms at once. Front panel knobs give you hands-on control of pulse width, triangle "lean", dual-waveform blend, and more. The Digital oscillator plays wavetables with up to 64 steps, like vintage hybrid synths and modern eurorack modules. Start with over 200 factory wavetables, or load your own using the Editor/Librarian software for macOS and Windows. Import modwave wavetables directly, or convert wavetables from popular software formats. Use the 30+ Modifiers to change the way that the tables are loaded, resulting in subtle to extreme changes in timbre, and 8 Morph Types like Stretch, Flip, and Mirror to process them in real-time.Waveshaper offers a "West-Coast" approach, in which simple waveforms (sine or triangle) are processed through a shaper table. Modulating gain into the shaper creates glassy, dynamic harmonics. Use the Berkeley shaper for traditional wavefolder timbres, or select from over 90 other shaper types. The multi/poly also adds modulatable pulse width, a unique twist, for another dimension of richness and motion. In addition to oscillators 1-4, there's a separate noise generator with dedicated filtering and saturation, and a ring modulator with inputs from all of the above. The multi/poly also expands on the original Mono/Poly's powerful oscillator sync and x-mod capabilities, for timbres otherwise only possible with a large modular setup. Create unique sounds with Oscillators 2, 3, and 4 simultaneously following Oscillator 1 for sync, x-mod, or both at once. Alternatively, split either function into oscillator pairs with separate control.Dual modeled filtersAll of the multi/poly's filters are newly redesigned, including an amazing suite of vintage filters with authentic euphonic saturation. To start with, there are five different 4-pole self-resonating models. M/Poly provides the strong, sweet sound of the classic Korg Mono/Poly. Mini is the ladder filter from a beloved American mono-synth; resonance is reduced at low frequencies, critical for producing those classic bass sounds. Pro is from the first programmable polyphonic synthesizer, with strong resonant sweeps all the way down. Finally, Ladder HP and BP are 4-pole self-resonating highpass and bandpass filters, respectively. The MS-20 LP and HP 12dB/octave self-resonating "Korg 35" filters lovingly recreate the distinctive, aggressive timbral signature of the classic Korg MS-20. The SE M/P 2-pole filter is more gentle in character, and features a continuous control to sweep between lowpass, band reject, and highpass, plus a separate bandpass mode. You can also shape and refine with a full collection of linear, resonant 2-pole and 4-pole lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and band reject filters. Or, step outside the box with KORG’s unique Multi Filter, which creates modulatable blends of multiple modes simultaneously. All of these filters support audio-rate modulation for ear-catching bright, fizzy, and bubbling effects. Use any of the oscillators or the ring modulator as the modulation source, and even blend in the noise generator for more chaotic timbres. In addition to the vintage filters' built-in saturation, a post-filter anti-aliased Drive circuit lets you add more weight and grit to taste, from subtle thickening to heavy distortion. Finally, you can use any two of these filters simultaneously, in series or in parallel. Programs have two filter slots, A and B. Each source, including the four oscillators, noise, and ring Mod, has a balance control which crossfades between the two filters–enabling a wide array of creative options. For instance, send one group of oscillators through the M/Poly filter, and the other through the MS-20 lowpass. Create a classic highpass->lowpass serial chain, but route one or more oscillators around the highpass. Since this is a continuous crossfade, and not just a switch, you can modulate the A/B Balance for unique effects. The filters can also run in stereo, with separate panning for each of the sources. Each Program starts with four oscillators plus a noise generator, ring mod, sync, and x-mod. Process these through two independent filters, and modulate with four loopable DAHDSR envelopes, five LFOs, and six Mod Processors. Add complex per-voice motion with multi-lane Motion Sequencing 2.0, and polish with three studio-quality insert effects. But, that's just a single Program. Layer up to four Programs in a Performance. Switch between them round-robin style using Layer Rotate, either played from the keyboard or driven from the arpeggiator. Use Kaoss Physics to create fluid, evolving modulation from simple gestures on the x/y pad. Grab the four Mod Knobs for intuitive, hands-on control of multiple low-level parameters. Put on the finishing touches with two more Mod Processors, Master Reverb, and EQ.Layer RotateThe multi/poly has four Layers, each of which contains a Program. Naturally, these can create layered sounds, velocity splits, and keyboard splits. Inspired by the original Mono/Poly’s paraphonic mode, which cycled through its four oscillators, Layer Rotate adds a new possibility: flexible round-robin for entire Programs.Set up the four Layers with different Programs, and then cycle through them with each key-press. Play them in repeating or random order. Trigger one, two, or three Programs at every step of the cycle. Use Layer Rotate together with the arpeggiator for mind-bending patterns.r, ring mod, sync, and x-mod. Use Kaoss Physics to create fluid, evolving modulation from simple gestures on the x/y pad. Grab the four Mod Knobs for intuitive, hands-on control of multiple low-level parameters. Put on the finishing touches with two more Mod Processors, Master Reverb, and EQ.Modulation and controlBursting with knobs and controllers, the multi/poly invites you to explore. Oscillators, filters, envelopes, LFOs, and effects are all at your fingertips with dedicated front-panel controls. Four programmable Mod Knobs are customized to bring out the most in every sound. Use the knobs in realtime performance, and also save the results as new sounds. The Hold button lets you sustain notes or chords indefinitely, while you explore the front-panel controls or play other gear.Add in Kaoss Physics and the Pitch Bend and Modulation Wheels, and you’ll always have multiple dimensions of realtime expression.Want to dig deeper? Almost all front-panel knobs, and most on-screen parameters, can be modulated, for an astonishing total of over 5,500 modulation destinations. You can even modulate individual Motion Sequence Steps! Eight Mod Processors let you transform modulation signals using quantization, smoothing, curvature, and more.Motion Sequencing 2.0Motion Sequencing 2.0 evolved from the wavestate’s Wave Sequencing 2.0. Timing, Pitch, Shape, and four sets of Step Sequence values are separated into “Lanes,” each with their own loop start and loop end, adding a deeper, more customizable level of phrase and modulation recording.Every time the sequence moves forward, the individual Lanes are combined to create the output. For instance, a step sequence value may be matched with a different duration, pitch, and shape every time that it plays. You can modulate each Lane’s loop points separately for every note, using velocity, LFOs, envelopes, Mod Knobs, or other controllers. Each note in a chord can be playing something different!Lanes can also randomize the step order every time they play. Individual steps can be randomly skipped, with a modulatable probability from 0 to 100%. The result is organic, ever-changing sounds that respond to your control.Editor/Librarian softwareThe multi/poly Editor/Librarian lets you edit and organize sounds via your macOS or Windows computer. Using USB networking for high-speed communication, it works like a second front panel for the instrument, so there's no need to synchronize or transfer data. Animations show the effects of modulation in real-time - a great help when programming.
Inspired by the legendary KORG Mono/Poly, the new KORG multi/poly analog modeling synthesizer delivers breathtaking analog sounds combined with extraordinary digital power and flexibility. It's already garnering acclaim as one of the best synths of the year.KORG is now pleased to introduce the multi/poly module: all of the multi/poly's incredible features and sounds in a compact 19" desktop/rackmount package. With support for MIDI 2.0 property exchange and poly aftertouch, the module is an excellent companion to Korg's Keystage controller. It’s also fully compatible with programs from the multi/poly native software, as well as an increasing number of excellent third-party libraries, keeping the updated sounds and software fresh. The new 19" rack-mountable enclosure has the same controls as the keyed model, yet is easily transportable and fits neatly into any studio or desktop production system.Next-level analog modelingThe multi/poly module features redesigned, incredible-sounding filters and oscillators – and its advances in analog modeling go so much deeper. Also, analog VCAs don’t respond evenly to voltage, and have different thresholds for turning on and off, which in turn has a strong effect on the Amp Envelope's character. So, the multi/poly module features modeled VCA responses from the Mono/Poly, MS-20, Mini, Odyssey, and Pro, as well as a linear option.Ever tried to re-create a portamento effect from a favorite song, but couldn't find the right setting even when you switched between "constant rate" and "constant time?" Classic analog synths had different approaches to portamento, too, and so the multi/poly has six different portamento models to choose from.MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange and Polyphonic Aftertouch supportAll models of multi/poly, hardware and software, support MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange and easy access to Polyphonic Aftertouch - making them excellent companions to KORG's Keystage controller.Rack-Mount and DesktopThe multi/poly module is cleverly designed for both desktop and rack-mount use. The front panel is redesigned to fit into a standard 19" width, and the rear jack panel is recessed to allow easy access to cables even with gear mounted directly above. With desktop setups, brackets offer a choice of panel angles: flatter for performing standing up, or more upright for working while seated in your studio.

Tone-arm-free DVS control eliminates skipping in digital playbackNo matter how hard you scratch, you’ll never experience needle skipping when you use the PLX-CRSS12 in Digital Vinyl mode, thanks to the tone-arm-free system. The new MAGVEL CLAMP holds a record firmly in place when you touch it, enabling it to directly control the digital music file, giving you the true feeling of vinyl with no need to use the tone arm. When playing analog records, the experience will be just like using the popular PLX-1000 deck.Feeling adjustment to suit your styleYou can quickly adjust the record's "weight" with the dial on top of the MAGVEL CLAMP. This means you can effortlessly continue your performance without the hassle of changing slip mats or slip sheets.Customizable torque levelIt's easy to change the turntable rotation torque level in the utility settings to suit your preference. You can choose from "High" for quick startup when you press PLAY, "Low" for the traditional torque speed that many DJs are familiar with, and "Mid" for a balance between the two.Adjustable stopping speedUse the switch on the front of the deck to adjust the time it takes for the turntable to stop when you press STOP. The "Min" is sharp. The "Mid" uses a traditional stopping speed that's familiar to DJs. And the "Max" creates the longest stopping speed for a gradual and dramatic finish to a track or performance.Performance Pads for accurate and rapid controlThe PLX-CRSS12 inherits classic turntable layout elements, but a new addition is the 4 built-in MIDI-mappable Performance Pads which put your favorite features at your fingertips. They’re right where you need them – just below the platter – so you can fire off Hot Cues and samples quicker than ever, which comes in handy even more if you’re performing on a mixer that has no pads. There’s native support for various pad modes (see below), and a dedicated button enables you to switch control from pads 1-4 to 5-8. The pads are MIDI mappable too, so you can assign them to other features.OLED display for quick confirmation of track informationThe built-in OLED display also helps you focus on the deck. You can keep an eye on the tempo range and key when Step Pitching and, when you connect the PLX-CRSS12 via USB to your PC/Mac running DJ software, you can reference BPM, key, deck number information. The display also gives you quick access to the utility settings – all of which reduces the need to break concentration and look at your laptop or mixer during a performance.High-quality sound reproduction of analog records, evolved from the PLX-1000Let your audience enjoy your music the way it was intended to be heard. The PLX-CRSS12 has been carefully built to improve on the sound quality of the PLX-1000 professional DJ turntable, which is highly acclaimed for its accurate sound reproduction.*Available with Link Export and the CloudDirectPlay feature in Rekordbox for Mac/Windows or Rekordbox for iOS/Android.Robust and elegant design in matte black colorThe PLX-CRSS12 has a matte black color scheme, with special coatings applied to the tone arm and other metal parts, plus carefully crafted details that give it a robust and elegant appearance.

Ideal for both studio recording and live sound applications, the Royer R-12 active ribbon microphone delivers outstanding performance on electric and acoustic stringed instruments, vocals, brass, pianos and organs, as well as drums and percussion instruments at an easily affordable price point. The R-12 is capable of extremely natural sound acquisition, making the microphone an exceptional choice for capturing an audio source just like it sounds to the ear with extraordinary sonic accuracy. Royer ribbons have always been known for their ability to deliver a warm sound capable of capturing the elusive nuances of the original performance. R-12 takes this capability to the next level.Of particular note, the R-12 uses the same 2.5 micron ribbon element found in the company’s legendary R-121 microphone. This feature delivers Royer’s well-known high SPL (Sound Pressure Level) capabilities measured at 160dB @ 1kHz. With its switchable -15dB pad, the R-12 can deliver excellent headroom for louder program material such as drums and dimed electric guitars. This important feature eliminates any potential for headroom-related distortion on even the loudest sound sources.Another notable feature of the new R-12 microphone is its onboard active electronic circuitry, which significantly increases output level for quieter sound sources such as acoustic instruments and vocals. R-12’s active electronics consistently put a perfect load on the ribbon element, enabling the microphone to deliver its full sonic potential. The R-12 is also outfitted with a switchable High Pass filter precisely tuned to reduce low end proximity buildup, making this microphone a perfect choice for capturing louder vocal performances and close-miking of instruments and loudspeaker cabinets.Completing its rich feature set, the R-12 houses an internally shock-mounted ribbon transducer, which helps to protect the ribbon element while also reducing handling noise. Combined with its built-in triple-layer wind screen, the microphone’s ribbon is effectively protected against plosives and other wind-related noise.R-12 FEATURES• Same ribbon element as the R-121• Internal transducer shock mount• Built-in triple layer windscreen• 15dB Pad and high pass filter switches• Comes with a mic mount and hard-shell carrying case.• Available in matched pairs.RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS• Close miking in the studio and on live stages• Electric & acoustic guitars• Drum overheads, kick drum (see manual for position), room miking• Percussion instruments• Brass, horn sections• Strings - solo & sections• Acoustic piano• Vocals
With two sets of Plasma output and a high-speed fan, the HumminGuru Orbit simultaneously discharges over 50 million of each +/- ions per cubic centimeter. Its innovative "rotating" design allows for the direct emission of ions onto the record surface during 10 automatic rotations, making it highly effective in neutralizing static electricity. The HumminGuru Orbit, with its rechargeable feature, offers a convenient hands-free solution for users, serving as an essential tool for audiophiles seeking a hassle-free and enhanced listening experience with smooth record playback. The anti-static spindle adapters enable the Orbit to be compatible with spindle heights up to 23mm with the applied record.
For many generations, true lovers of sound and music are inspired by vinyl playback. Even in these days of high performance digital audio playback systems it is hard to imagine a future without LP’s. There’s just something magical to it. Grimm Audio’s co-founder Peter van Willenswaard spent a life time designing and improving phono preamps, both in solid state and with tubes. Of all stages of audio amplification, phono preamplifiers pose the biggest challenges to a designer. With moving coil cartridges, deep bass signals of a mere 50 nV require no less than 90 dB amplification! “Vintage vinyl taught us that sound can be magical.“For the PW1 “Phono Wizard”, Peter managed to develop a solid state phono preamplifier that matches his best tube based designs. Peter believes that designing a good phono preamp is not about achieving the lowest possible harmonic distortion as an isolated parameter. He searches for an elegantly minimalistic circuit design in which he optimizes the ‘electric environment’ of all the active components, in conjunction with a meticulously tuned power supply. Needless to say that passive components like capacitors and resistors are carefully picked. The result is a well balanced design with Peter’s signature sound, that is very spacious, detailed and open, but at the same time rhythmically addictive and emotionally involving. The industrial design had to justify this quality. Michiel Uylings of MU1 fame matched the sonics with a simple but powerful cabinet shape and Grimm Audio’s design team made the copper shielded interior look like a piece of art. Truly a design for generations to come.
The LS1c is the flagship of our LS1 active loudspeaker series. It is named after the revolutionary TPCD Carbon Composite tweeter that we developed in cooperation with driver manufacturer Seas. Even more important is that we rebuilt all elements of the LS1 design from the ground up: New electronics with latest generation amplifiers, New audio DSP code, New computer aided calibration method, New firmware New PC/Mac software that controls the entire system. To pick just one example, with the knowledge we gained from developing the MU1 and MU2 FPGA Pure Nyquist filters, we were able to dramatically improve the crossover phase correction filters of the LS1c’s DSP. The LS1c offers an incredible level of integration over the full frequency band The loudspeaker has never sounded so much ‘as one’. Its rendering of the stereo image appears more tactile than ever, its capability for microdynamics exposes unheard details and its extraordinary phase coherency reveals the subtlest rhythmic structures. At the same time the natural, non-fatiguing sound of the LS1c invites one to long listening sessions. “All elements of the LS1 design were rebuilt from the ground up.” At the low end of the frequency spectrum,The elegant Digital Motional Feedback SB1 subwoofer offers unparalleled bass. Our unique motion feedback technology lowers the distortion by 30 dB and places the resonance frequency below 20 Hz. Bass has never sounded so detailed and controlled. A natural companion for the LS1c is the MU1 music player that allows control of all loudspeaker parameters. But an LS1c is equally happy when combined with the LS1r controller and the LS1i USB interface. The cabinet can be ordered in a stylish ‘Hi-Macs’ synthetic stone finish, or in our traditional bamboo veneer or lacquer look.
