Με τις κεφαλές moving coil, τα χαμηλότατα σήματα των 50 nV στις χαμηλές συχνότητες απαιτούν ενίσχυση της τάξης των 90 dB!«Το vintage βινύλιο μας δίδαξε ότι ο ήχος μπορεί να είναι μαγικός.»Για τον PW1 “Phono Wizard”, ο Peter κατάφερε να αναπτύξει έναν solid state phono προενισχυτή που ανταγωνίζεται τις κορυφαίες σχεδιάσεις του με λυχνίες. Πιστεύει πως ο σχεδιασμός ενός καλού phono δεν έχει να κάνει απλώς με την επίτευξη της χαμηλότερης δυνατής αρμονικής παραμόρφωσης. Αντίθετα, επιδιώκει έναν κομψά μινιμαλιστικό σχεδιασμό κυκλώματος, στον οποίο βελτιστοποιεί το «ηλεκτρικό περιβάλλον» όλων των ενεργών στοιχείων, σε συνδυασμό με μια σχολαστικά ρυθμισμένη τροφοδοσία. Φυσικά, τα παθητικά εξαρτήματα όπως οι πυκνωτές και οι αντιστάσεις επιλέγονται με μεγάλη προσοχή.Το αποτέλεσμα είναι ένας εξαιρετικά ισορροπημένος σχεδιασμός, με την ηχητική υπογραφή του Peter: ανοιχτός, λεπτομερής και ευρύς, αλλά ταυτόχρονα ρυθμικά εθιστικός και συναισθηματικά καθηλωτικός.Ο βιομηχανικός σχεδιασμός έπρεπε να αντανακλά αυτή την ποιότητα.
