With UA5, we are pushing our UA line into a bit different category. While UA1 and UA2 worked nicely as simple USB Audio dongles, UA5 is quite a bit closer to your bigger portable DAC/AMPs.UA5 adds volume wheel for an independent volume control, small screen for an easy access to multiple settings directly on the device, full-size 4.4mm balanced connector instead of fragile 2.5mm, fully balanced audio circuit, SPDIF digital output for use with other DACs and special Hybrid battery Power mode, to reduce battery drain from your smartphone.UA5 provides a better sound quality for your smartphone and a better user experience when connected to your computer.Hybrid Batter Power modeWhen enabled, certain sections of UA5 will still be running on USB power, like USB Controller and FPGA. But the crucial parts of DAC and amplifier will instead use a cleaner power from the battery. In our testing, this set-up proved helpful in three scenarios:Consistent analog performance and noise floor, independent from the quality of USB power of the connected device.Reduced power drain from the connected device, which can be crucial when running it with smartphone.Reduced power demand allows for a compatibility with certain devices, that are normally unable to provide enough power for USB DAC/Amps.UA5 is of course capable of running in a standard USB Powered mode, in which the battery is completely disconnected and all sections of UA5 runs out of USB power. UA5 will automatically switch to this mode when the battery runs too low.
UA3 joins our highly popular line of UA models and it marks an important point for Shanling, as it will be our first model using a brand-new DAC from the relaunched line of AKM DACs.For many years, AKM DACs were the core part of Shanling’s audio designs, as they played a crucial role in delivering our house sound to all our fans. But following the fire at AKM’s factory in 2020, we had to look for alternative solutions, being unsure about the AKM’s future. It affected most of our releases in 2021, but we managed to transition successfully, keeping the strict Hi-Fi standards we have been building up for past 34 years. In early 2022, AKM relaunched their line of DACs and we immediately started working on new designs, diving into the possibilities of this updated generation of DACs. UA3 is first of these designs, utilizing a freshly released AK4493SEQ DAC, for the first time bringing the sound of AKM into our UA line of portable DAC/AMPs.UA3 builds upon the popular UA2, but takes over some features from the UA5. Balanced output is now using a more robust 4.4mm connector, we added hardware buttons for volume or playback control and the power output was improved to match the UA5.
Same compact-sized portable player, now with an upgraded Android platform and a new audio circuit. On the outside, M3 Ultra follows closely its predecessor. Staying at 4.2-inch screen, for the ideal balance between system usability and device portability. Aluminium frame keeps the same overall design, just with a few small adjustments, including a new solution for the MicroSD card door. And offering a standard combination of 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs. On the inside, that’s where all the important things changed. Android platform was upgraded to the octa-core Snapdragon 665 and Android 10, refreshing M3 for swift system response and app compatibility going forward. Of course, still combined with our Android Global Lossless Output (AGLO) system for an ideal Android sound performance. We even adjusted Bluetooth, switching to a newer 5.0 version.Audio section is still based around a pair of ESS ES9219C DACs, but M3 Ultra builds a more robust circuit around them. Two Ricore RT6863 were added to serve as dedicated headphone amplifiers, allowing the player to deal easier with the headphone load and resulting in reduced distortion, increased dynamic range and overall improved clarity. Lot of attention was also put on the used ELNA Silmic II capacitors, as they proved to be crucial in the sound tuning of the M3 Ultra, as we attempted to tune it more in the line with our house sound.M3 Ultra overall sounds a bit warmer and more relaxed than the original M3X, while managing to improve on the technical aspects of the sound.

Hear Every Detail in Your Mix with This 3-way Coaxial Monitor If you demand the utmost in precision, the Kali Audio IN-5 is among the most accurate studio monitors in its price range. In fact, it stands up to speakers that far exceed the modest price tag. The IN-5 unveils every detail in your mix; in other words, it’s brutally honest. Nothing is boosted or attenuated to mask flaws or spice up its sound — what you hear is what you get. In addition to its ruler-flat frequency response, the IN-5 exhibits negligible levels of distortion, ample headroom, and impressive low-end extension for a 5-inch speaker. This speaker’s coaxial design boasts directivity that surpasses any non-coaxial speaker, enveloping your entire room in a uniform soundstage. Plus, its low-noise port tube yields clean, punchy bass. And thanks to its boundary compensation EQ, the IN-5 sounds great in a myriad of environments. The IN-5 also includes an integrated Class D power amp, along with balanced XLR and TRS inputs, and an unbalanced RCA input. For your studio setup, you need a monitor that you can trust — and the Kali Audio IN-5 delivers on all fronts. Transparent sound reproduction for mixes you can trust The IN-5 offers ultra-transparent sound reproduction, enabling you to hear every detail of your mix. This starts with an exceptionally accurate frequency response — there’s nothing hyped about this speaker. Its dual-layer, large-diameter voice coil exhibits a crystal-clear sound with negligible distortion — a full 6dB lower than its nearest competitor. At continuous reference-level output, the IN-5 boasts at least 20dB of headroom to allow for transient spikes. What’s more, this studio monitor employs larger magnets and voice coils than others in its class, resulting in super-accurate low-end response and impressive low-frequency extension. At Sweetwater, we’ve found that the IN-5 empowers you to mix with confidence. Coaxial design yields rock-solid imaging With a typical 2-way studio monitor, its woofer and tweeter produce energy at the same time, creating an interference pattern at the speaker’s crossover point. Waveguides are generally employed to reduce the interference; however, the speaker still produces a directivity anomaly because the two drivers are in two separate positions. The Kali Audio IN-5’s coaxial high- and mid-frequency drivers, on the other hand, occupy the same space. This puts them within a quarter wavelength of one another, thereby eliminating this interference pattern. The IN-5 exhibits superb directivity — better than any non-coaxial design — and covers your entire room uniformly. What’s more, the IN-5’s optimized-profile midrange driver boasts more radiating surface than a standard waveguide, ensuring minimum distortion and maximum dynamic range. Low-noise port tube exhibits clean, punchy low end One of the IN-5’s most novel features is its low-noise port tube. Many port tubes emit turbulence, as air leaves the tube at different speeds from different points of the opening. This turbulence produces chuffing — a noisy sound that obscures the low-end details of your mix. The IN-5’s port tube, on the other hand, ensures that all of the air exits at the same velocity. The end result is clean, punchy bass with zero added noise. Boundary EQ ensures optimal sound in any environment A speaker’s position in a room drastically affects its frequency response. Even if your room is acoustically treated, your studio monitor’s sound will change if you place it near a wall or on a desk. Additionally, hard surfaces like walls and the top of your console will skew your monitor’s frequency response, degrade its sound, and give you false auditory information. The engineers at Kali Audio understand this, and that's why they baked a solution directly into the IN-5: its Boundary EQ. Tuned to perfection at The Village Studios in Los Angeles, the IN-5’s Boundary EQ supplies you with presets that are tailored to eight common speaker placements. You also get LF/HF trims for fine-tuning the speaker’s response. With the IN-5, you’ll be able to optimize its response, no matter what environment you’re mixing in.

It features a unique, patent protected 5” (125mm) LF/0.7” (19mm) HF Coaxial Differential Dispersion driver in a rigid ABS moulded enclosure and is supplied with a dedicated omni-directional mounting bracket. The Coaxial Differential Dispersion technology employed in the CDD5 delivers more consistent audience coverage than systems with fixed X° x Y° coverage patterns — projecting relatively more output to the rear of the audience to distribute sound evenly front-to-back, while having wide horizontal coverage close-up. Its innovative CDD driver achieves ‘point source’ summation of the LF and HF sections — eliminating off-axis variations in frequency response in the crossover region associated with non-coaxial designs. The visually-distinctive enclosure can be used in either horizontal (landscape) or vertical (portrait) orientation, with rotation of the driver easily accomplished by removing the screw-free, protective grille. The curved shape of the enclosure allows it to be surface-mounted close to a wall or ceiling by means of the supplied omni-directional bracket or an optional close-mount ceiling bracket. The CDD5TX-WR option incorporates a 70V/100V line transformer.A full-range, passive two-way system, the CDD5 should be used with a compatible controller with appropriate limiter settings to provide system protection. When used with the DX4.0 controller or an iKON amplifier, there are now enhanced DSP and FIR based pre-sets to deliver the absolute maximum performance and fidelity while limiter settings protect the integrity of the system.FEATURES: Ultra-Compact, CDD™ passive two-way systemCoaxial Differential Dispersion™ technologyElegant ABS moulded enclosureUser-rotatable coaxial drive unitVertical and horizontal mounting optionsScrew-free perforated steel grille8Ω nominal impedanceDiscreet mounting accessoriesBlack or white standard colour options70V/100V line transformer optionAPPLICATIONS:Bars and RestaurantsMuseums and AV SpacesConvention CentresHotelsRetail OutletsLeisure CentresHouses of Worship

DESCRIPTIONThe CDD8 is an ultra-compact two-way passive loudspeaker system with an integrated 8” (200mm) LF/1” (25mm) exit HF Coaxial Differential Dispersion driver which can be easily rotated for horizontal or vertical orientation depending on venue design requirements. Its small size gives no indication of its high output capability. As a stand-alone loudspeaker, it has a multitude of applications and can also be incorporated as an infill loudspeaker in distributed systems using larger CDD models, such as the CDD12 and CDD15.The Coaxial Differential Dispersion technology employed in the CDD8 delivers more consistent audience coverage than systems with fixed X° x Y° coverage patterns — projecting relatively more output to the rear of the audience, while having wide horizontal coverage close-up. Its innovative CDD driver achieves ‘point source’ summation of the LF and HF sections — eliminating off-axis variations in frequency response associated with non-coaxial designs. Improving on conventional coaxial designs, which can suffer from high-frequency beaming, the driver features a static waveguide that merges seamlessly with the unique cone shape — maintaining the dispersion pattern out to very high frequencies. The visually-distinctive enclosure can be used in either horizontal (landscape) or vertical (portrait) orientation, with rotation of the driver easily accomplished by removing the screw-free, protective grille.
